Vicki and the Gremlin Voice

It's horrifying. She has always done it occasionally, but now that's her only level? It's unbearable. You can tell it is so off-putting to the other women. So fascinating to see her without any women she knows.

Also love Lu coming for her.

New to RHOC and already hooked

So I absolutely love RHONY (the original line up) and have just rewatched it all from S1 - 13 after a housewives break.

Believe it or not, I’ve never watched RHOC but I am hooked.
My mother used to watch it and I caught glimpses of later series but never the OG OC.

I was a big Ramona/Dorinda fan of RHONY and am keen to get RHOC veterans opinions on the original casting as I’m only on series 2.

The whole Jo and Slade dynamic is already bizarre. This whole show so far seems like a time capsule for pre housing market collapse, stepford wives upper middle class, keeping up with the Jones’ and I love it.

I feel like I’m in for a wild ride and would love to get some veterans takes on the series and how it compares to other franchises!

Can’t stand Vicki

I really can’t stand her. Especially on ultimate girls trip. She gives such hard core Karen vibes. Self centered in a non charming, aggressive way. Demands attention by yelling, not in a fun way, but in an aggressive / callous manner.

The ways she’s insensitive to Luann or just kind of lies and talks out of her ass. I honestly just can’t stand her.

I get that’s she’s an OG and she’s there in season 20 to facilitate between Tamra and Shannon, but other than that I just don’t find her appealing as a housewife. She’s not charming, fun, or charismatic. Housewives can be plenty self centered, which is what we love about them, but she does it in a way that’s unbearable and annoying to watch.

Vicki is such a hater! I love how supportive Baby Gorgeous has been it’s so refreshing seeing this side of Lisa.

Bring back Lizzie Rovsek

I just finished rewatching Season 9 and I really liked Lizzie Rovsek. I felt she was a savvy addition who didn't have enough time on the show. She called out the BS, had her own business, a family, is smart and beautiful. I realize she and Christian are no longer married but she would be a great re-addition to this franchise.

*I'm also not opposed to bringing Lydia McLaughlin back, too. She was quirky but seemed to be grounded and had a thriving career, a cute family and a loving husband.

Heather / Terry

I love their dynamic/banter in this marriage. Both are a bit much, but that adds dimension and entertainment to tv. From doing the mud run to the red carpet. I love this couple, and they are amazing parents.

Does tamra get any better?

Hi I’m a first time watcher of OC currently on season 5 and I just cannot stand tamra. I don’t agree with Gretchen’s political beliefs so please don’t take this to be me defending that but the way Tamra and Vicki treat her is DISGUSTING. It is both of them but Tamra is far worse than Vicki. Constantly going on about how Tamra is copying her when she’s not she’s just bought something kind of sjmiliar and she’s clearly just jealous that Gretchen is younger and more attractive

First-Time Thoughts on OC

I’m currently on season 7 and for me it’s really picking up this season. I’ve watched all of Potomac and Beverly Hills, and a good bit of New York, SLC, and Atlanta.

I also felt like Atlanta picked up after a few seasons—even though there are so many iconic moments in those earlier seasons. Maybe some of this is just Bravo figuring out the pacing for
Housewives. In Atlanta, Porsha and Kenya’s introduction was so crucial to the dynamic. And with OC I think Tamra and Heather brought a lot of energy into the show.

Heather’s life and overall vibe seems really positive and aspirational, and her husband seems like a grounded family man. I’m not at all surprised they’re still married!

With Tamra: controversial take—I’ve been enjoying watching her! I was surprised because I was expecting a villain worse than Jenn Shaw based on social media, but she has her good moments. I’m so on her side when it comes to Simon. He seems very critical and rigid. Very controlling. The type of guy who resents his wife’s success. And Alexis’s husband is even worse! He freaked out about her news segment instead of supporting her (and she absolutely needed media training. That clip she showed Gretchen! 💀). They’re so materialistic, yet she can’t take any criticism. The dinner scene in Costa Rica is hard to watch.

Overall RHOC seems more relatable than Beverly Hills. A lot of the cast seem like women you might meet in any suburb in the country—especially within a gated community. They’re rich but they’re not flying “private” to Ojai or wherever (except for Heather maybe! She did take that helicopter to LA).

And Vicki I recognize from RHUGT and Bravocon. She’s kind of in her own world, a bit. I wonder if she would like Sutton (who can also be pretty random). Tamra reminds me a little bit of Ashley from Potomac in that she’ll say almost anything. Are Tamra fans also Ashley fans? Ashley is probably a little more diplomatic, honestly.

I don’t know what to say about Gretchen and Slade except she has proved she is not a gold digger or a princess.

I’m sure the dynamics have changed a million times since season 7. Curious how far off my read of the show is, and the women on the show.

Rewatch - season 7

On season 7 of an entire rewatch and I can’t stomach Gretchen’s whole schtick about being in the dark about Slade’s antics. Just watched the Improv episode and girl you knew damn well what he was gonna do. This isn’t the only time she’s done this - just the example I have on hand. He goes along with her playing dumb too so that she doesn’t get too much backlash and gets to stay on the show.

I know this has probably been discussed, but why isn’t it discussed more often. I NEED to know, did Vicki know Brooks didn’t have cancer? The psychic was the first to question it, did Tamra tell him? Did production know and set Vicki up? The timing feels so suspicious.

I need to know!!!

Season 10 Meghan

I’m watching Season 10 and just got to the trip where Meghan starts crying about how deeply she loves her stepchildren. The other women seem to judge her and act like it’s strange or unhealthy that she wishes they were her biological children. Looking back, especially knowing she’s now estranged from her biological kids, I’m wondering if I’m missing something. Am I crazy for thinking there’s nothing wrong with loving your stepchildren as if they were your own? Sure, it’s unfortunate when a divorce means you only get to see children part-time, but if I had kids and a stepmother became part of their lives, I would want her to genuinely love and care for them. That seems like a positive thing, not something to criticize. I’m honestly confused about why the women treated it like such a terrible emotion. Am I alone in thinking her feelings were completely normal?

Orange County return viewer

I watched last week for the first time since Covid. I had stopped watching because I wanted the fighting got to me during that time.

But, I saw they were in Vegas and I like Las Vegas. How fun they got to dress up like the dancers.

Still love Vicki. Shannon too.

Ps. Are they too thin? Not body shaming.

Vicki is worse than Tamra

Been a viewer for a long time. I used to think that Tamra was the absolute worst on this cast, but I’ve decided that — it’s actually Vicki. Hard stop.

She’s a terrible person with terrible views that actively plays dumb while constantly being a b*tch to everyone. She’s a true Debbie Downer.

Gina and Emily - don’t you feel like their names should be switched?

I can’t explain why lol. I just feel like if they were switched, the names would fit them better lol!

Heather yearning for friendship

I think that when the show isn't airing she probably doesn't talk to any of these women. The convo with her mom saying she would make a list of kids she wanted to befriend felt very telling. I think this is the first time I'm feeling empathy for Heather and seeing thru her "I'm rich" facade. She has always wanted a best friend and I don't think she ever had one or even knows how to maintain one. After seeing her mother I can totally understand all of that.

Emily, 👏🏻 stop 👏🏻 using 👏🏻 your 👏🏻 kids 👏🏻 as a 👏🏻 storyline

These are kids, and they did not sign up for the Emily show. Please get the cameras away from them asap and stop exposing their struggles on national TV.
