what does my apartment say about me?

i was encouraged to jump on this trend - my friends are placing bets for what “the most accurate answer” is

UPDATE / CONTEXT

encapsulating the majority of the comments here.

minimalism & neutral colors are not everyone’s style. some feel most at home surrounded by color, art, plants, & lots of visual warmth. for me, my apartment is very intentional.

i work as a psychiatrist in the emergency department & in an inpatient hospital setting, so my workdays are often loud, intense, emotionally heavy, overstimulating, & verrry unpredictable. i spend a lot of time in crisis situations, around fluorescent lighting, alarms, high emotions, trauma, & people experiencing some of the worst days of their lives.

i’m a firm believer that your space is a reflection of your mind. when i come home, i don’t want more stimulation. i want quiet & softness. here gives my brain somewhere to land. my home feels peaceful, clean, & safe after how my days tend to be spent. i’ve designed it to be restorative. no lack of personality here! simplicity is the point.

i appreciate people’s suggestions! i may add small touches over time, but i’m also okay with my home being a soft, quiet place that works for me 🤍

What does my apartment say about me?

Also any suggestions to make it cozier?

Edit: I move the chair out of the way when I watch TV. Sometimes I work from home and have my laptop there.
