The tooth measures 4.94" long. I bought it from an eBay auction for $125. I just wonder is it feeding wear in pic 2, near the apex?
A little 2 day haul. Does anyone know what the gray tooth at the top is?
I originally thought this tooth was a baby meg because of the deep bourlette, but the long root hanging off the right side doesn’t look typical to megs. Any ideas would be appreciated!
I go shelling at my local beach all the time, I have not come upon a shark tooth yet. I’ve been quite surprised by that, because everyone seems to find them easily around here. I picked this up tonight and figured I’d look for feedback from others that have more knowledge.
Weekend finds - our new dive site has more barnacles than anywhere else I’ve ever been. Some of them hide the teeth really well. Plus bonus pic that shows the madness of a 3 day trip
Got 2 of these and just saw a recent post talking about many fake teeth being out there. Is this a legit megalodon tooth?
Found in I believe aurora NC
Found off the coast of Maine
I've had this thing forever, got it in Nazca when i was backpacking years ago. it has a huge chip which exposed the inside. I have always been skeptical it is real
As stated in the title, this is a single sluice run at the Chalk Mine. About a half a 5 gallon bucket.
Hotter day than I’d prefer so didn’t hunt for as long as usual. Hemis, Carcharias, Striatolamia*,* and several fish teeth (which always make me happy).
specifically for the first tooth (all if you’re feeling nice), thinking it’s a snaggletooth (maybe).
