I have PTSD. I’ve been struggling more with it lately especially with the panic attacks and I’ve heard that sour candied candies can help ground you during an episode. I’ve tried sour skittles and warheads before but they don’t pack as much of an intense punch as I’d like.
What are some truly extreme sour candies?
It has to be the strawberry flavor for me and they’re so hard to find so when I do find them somewhere I stock up. Also i mainly suck on the powder and don’t let it turn into gum
Back in the mid 2000s there was this line of sweetarts that came in the same foil tube as the regular sweetarts, same hard candy, but were way more sour. My mom bought them from a convenience store in Ritzville,Wa thinking they were normal sweetarts. Been trying to find them, or something equally sour ever since
My local ice cream spot has slushies with an "extra sour" option for all the flavors.. lemon lime hit pretty good on a 90 degree day.

I wish i had a picture of the actually gummies. But the gummies are thick, have fun shapes and the hardness is really good! Not too hard like a haribo but not super soft either. The flavours are nice and the sour level is, i think, perfect for me. They have a "sweet 'n sour" version, which i'd assume it's their version of a sour patch kid. But think i'll stick to these since i prefer straight sourness. I found these at my grocery store in Canada
They advertise a slightly sour dried fruit candy similar to final boss. I am intrigued but dont want to order a huge box and be disappointed. I love final boss but its so expensive and wrecks the enamel on my teeth.
The little smartie looking skull things gotta be compressed citric acid, they are so damn sour! The sour chewy candies on the right side are more tart than sour, I haven't tried the rest yet but will update. Not sure where she got it.
Hi everyone! Im been looking for years for chewy 1/4 inch micro jawbreakers. Every bulk candy supplier ive googled or found on amazon has always been the stale rock hard jawbreakers. Does anyone know where to find the small jawbreakers that are chewy? The ones that just taste like a chewy sugar ball. Ive been dying to find them for years and if anyone could help me ill be forever greatful!
They’re disgusting. And this is coming from a guy who loves pickles (and pickled pretty much everything, the more vinegary the better), and loves extremely sour things.
It’s just a sad, bummer of an ultra processed pickle taste, like bath and body works tried to embody the pickle flavor in a candle, that stays on your breath forever and it’s not sour.
My kids and I brushed our teeth twice to get this unpalatable yuk from our mouths and our minds.
5/10, do recommend. But only because it’s dumb and gross and I want you to experience the same discomfort I had.
Someone needs to run to Trader Joe’s, try these, and let us know if they’re actually sour! They unfortunately don’t have malic acid so I don’t have super high hopes. I would go myself if I could, but my daughter is in the hospital so I’m unable to.
Hey everyone I’m just sharing a new find I’m enjoying. They’re a little less sour than sour patch kids and they include citric and malic acid in the ingredients. They’re the most sour thing from haribo I’ve come across and they’re pretty soft too. Really tasty! I found mine at the gas station wawa, in Florida.
These are so good! I was very impressed. Best sour gummy candy out there. Plus, they're low sugar and don't make my tummy hurt lol. I think they are similar to sour patch extremes in texture and flavor, but I honestly like them better!
