r/ss14

Any Rp level and any type of server. This isn't me looking for a recommended server as much as it is me curious what server people like to play on/think is the best.

Recently after a 100 hour grind sesh of ss14 I took a break. Coming back I tried to just play a couple rounds and couldn't. I feel burned out even after the break. I'm not sure what I felt in my first one hundred hours that made me keep pushing, but I think I've lost that feeling. I would say it's a lack of RP. I'm still really new to things like whitelist servers so I've never put much thought into being IC but I've been putting in the effort. Does anyone have recommendations on how to find fun things to do during shift, maybe like a gimmick or going somewhere specific?

Everytime I've engaged in a fight I've rarely won.

As antag, with weapon advantage? Got gibbed by a cane holding elderly clown

As thief, preparing the whole round to steal from HoS? Got caught 5 seconds in.

Meet a tider in maints? Over before it started.

I'm so unrobust I've developed a fear/aversion of playing sec, command, or antag. It's getting kind of boring playing chef or assistant every round... what do I do? Is there a server where I can train, or something like that?

I was playing medical as cmo, and a someone I hired (who’s a syndie) noct me when we were alone and tried to steal my stuff, but I woke up and oded em with bic and my hypospray. Then later, they noct me again in the middle of a crowded hallway, but ce stops the thieving, then they e dagger me and take my hypopen. The one thing I did that’s even a little considerable to shittery is when I got back up and l hit them with a crowbar two times when they were cuffed.

The belt you stripped bare yesterday is full again.

No one in Crescent calls it a miracle anymore. The scientists call it the Crescent Recurrence. Everyone else calls it the Turning: a slow tide of time that washes over the frontier and drags asteroids, wrecks and cheap outposts back toward what they once were. Ore hauled out to stable space stays yours. The field you left behind quietly fills itself in. One fact turned a remote frontier into the most valuable battlefield in the sector, and a war nobody can afford to stop.

Count Olywier Rabenau holds the frontier in the name of the Divine Sol Mandate. His power rests on charters, noble houses, guild money and the religious courts of the Saintsworn, and his fleets answer to a Lord Admiral elected by the frontier nobility. Against him marches the New Crescent Workers' League, the provisional front of a revolution that already turned one feudal world into worker territory and means to do it again. Its parties fight each other for leadership while Union commissars watch for anyone who forgets what the revolution was for.

In Taypan, the contested heart of the sector, the war is fought with invoices as often as guns. Shinohara Heavy Industries doesn't want to conquer Crescent. It wants every ship, loan, insurance policy and spare part in it to need Shinohara. Standing in its way is the Taypani Free Companies Federation: mercenaries, a clinic that sells your life back to you, a lab full of secrets, and a worker-owned shipbreaking collective, bound together under one Ringleader so that no corporation decides who gets to make money. Between them drift the mobile clans of the Taypani-Atyrian Pact, keepers of the oldest psionic traditions in the sector, and Gliess Santo, the neutral station where the shooting stops. For now. Push the great powers too far, and Gliess gets glassed like anything else.

And in the shadows, the Saint's Militia hunts psions. Every faction fields them. The Militia doesn't care whose license they carry.

Hullrot: Eclipsion is a faction-warfare roleplay server for Space Station 14. Factions are led by players: nobles elect admirals, revolutionary parties campaign for power, and company heads choose a Ringleader. Treaties, grudges and leadership carry across rounds. The Turning is the reason research resets every round, the reason the belts refill, and the reason the war never ends.

🗓️ Rounds are hosted on weekends. Next host: today, October 4, at 16:00 UTC

Currently, paperwork is uneditable, except fields one has to fill / ✔️ ticks to place.

Can one make custom templates with such fields? How?

All tutorials online, are for older variants, where the entire document is editable before signature.
