After making more sushi, I decided to do a food sprite project. It has then since spiraled (I now have around 40 unique food sprites, a fair few not related to sushi (help))

>He proceeds to do so and then rushes off while bleedin everywhere

>I then come along with the guy he spooked as we are guided by another person to the Colony Administrator to get jobs

>Most ppl end up at hydro, I meanwhile choose to be cook

>Find bar and get hired as barista/bartender

>the owner meanwhile starts cookin 500 bologna and cheese n meat baguettes

>We then get our 1st customer who peoceeds to get blackout drunk and not pay for his food before running away

>I then get idea to run food delivery

>Bar owner shows me to pizza truck

>It is ofc gone

>Proceed to try ro sell bologna to the cops

>One of them yells that it is mob contra n gets slapped with it in return as I flee

>It gets later declared via coms as a healthy hazard n outlawed???

>I decide to use the money I got thus far to buy a revolver from gun store

>This involved gettin Marshal and Colonial Admin aproval (stamps) beforehand which was a back n forth mess of its own

>Return to bar to find someone rammed the food truck into it

>They are actually still in it and actively on a joyride and would continue until the military arrived

>Also, had to shoot a crazed axe murderer who was dismemberin someone on the bar's stairs

>They were later caught n executed

>Colonial Admin declares a curfew due to high crime and after that the insurgents declare open warfare

>I decide to do a bit of bounty hunting after they get bounty'd :godo:

>Steal a bolt action rifle and helmet n go huntin

>Run into some soldiers who can't believe am actual bounty hunter and search me

The Dusty Cage

Don't you fear the demons' blood?

I have mulled this phrase over, fought to try to swat and ignore it in my mind, only for it to come back louder and more demanding.

I tried to reason that I had the right to ignore it. Ignore all of what I killed, the lords I made hang, and the king that I beheaded. But it still wasn't satisfied.

Eventually, I started to summon voices in my head to discuss it in council, as my body grew more and more distant. I was imobile, in a large and long stone pit, dark ancient enchanted machinery binding my arms and spine, narcotics, poisons and other such things pumping into it from the abyss that surrounded me. Up far, far above, on platforms, were countless turrets, ready to shred me at any wrong move.

But my cage was gaining dust, growing worse from the lack of upkeep that no one dared to come close enough to do.

But I was distracted back then. The dust was enough for me to break free even in this state, toss off the locks, feel the blood pump back from my heart and into my veins.

But the council of voices was focused: Did I fear the demons' blood?

I could escape, yes, but what to do even if I did? I had been a tyrant, I now knew I fit the word. I slaughtered my way through my revenge and left much chaos in its wake, none left to lead but warbands of the desperate or wicked or those who rose to seek vengeance on me.

Did I fear the demons' blood? Maybe. But I feared what awaited me up there as well.

War and strife quickens the advancement of all things known. Swords and spears might have given path to more advanced things that might have made the hunt fot me easier, more deadly, likelier for me to lose if I survived my escape.

I feared the demons' blood. The vote inside my head made me sure of it. But it ate me from within.

I had to escape. The council had become too loud, past memories too painful to left to be relieved in darkness.

Moving my back hairs, softly, I lockpicked the ancient device that bound me. Ancient needles connected to pumps and steel bindings loosened.

I feared the demons' blood. But I had enough of facing it. I shook, more needles coming loose. Ancient veins of my own body made me feel the warmth of my blood once more.

The sound of steel wires sounded many times. Countless massive bolts flew into me, making it even quicker to break free from my steel binds, projectiles flinging them off with my precise movements.

I rose high, jumping against a wall, clutching into the rock, denting it where my fingers were and starting my climb.

Turrets fell where I once was. One after the other, crashing down with cracks and clanks of fine wood and steel.

I made my way to the gate up above. It had many gliphs on it, probably meant to be unbreakable, but the gate's wood was faded, sygils and symbols carved into it without meaning. It opened with one single fisted strike of me.

I walked out. Was once was frigid mountains was now but a hill, a distant settlement made out of blocky buildings rising high into the sky in the distance. The sun was blinding, the gate behind me having faded into its weak ilusory spell.

I had made it out. I feared what the demons' blood was. But maybe I was better for it.

I started walking down the hill, in the direction of the town. It was a new day of a new age.

And I wanted to make it count.

[TH] Tank Crew

Kommissar K'ark was pissed off. Not only did the rest of their convoy speed past them, leaving their tank - a pretty big source of firepower mind you - both open to enemy ambush, and entirely without any 'caff to drink.

He tapped his upper talons on the tank's top's hull in rythmic fashion as he was forced to take a beakful of oily, foul water from his steel mug. He hated it and it made him even more sleepy than he was already, and even more pissed off, him ruffling his own dark blue feathers.

The tank still rolled down the road surrounded by half-empty half-filled with tall grass fields, dimly iluminated by the two large moons above. K'ark decided to finally do something.

"Oi K'erke," the kommissar bawked into the tank "Is your leg still hurtin'?"

"It was almost bloody shot off, give me a break." the tank gunner replied.

K'erke had been injured in a previous camp assault, barely making it into the tank as a mortar shell hit the ground in front of him. He had a shard of shrapnel the size of half his own leg stuck in his thigh that had been pulled off and bandaged at the start of the convoy's trip.

He had some right to be angry too, K'ark figured.

"Oi Kommissar, we should be arriving soon!" he then heard another younger voice.

"Aye, the sooner the better. How long, K'larke?"

K'larke was a newer recruit into the militia. He was the driver, and although not experienced with tanks, knew how to drive noticeably better than most.

Probably had to do with him being a past taxi driver. Nevertheless.

"About 15 or 20 min!" K'larke brought K'ark back from his thoughts.

"Good. I had enough of this road."

Then he saw a bright, red line coming from the distance, and blow up in the sky, hanging there like a red sun. Under it, in the distance, he could see the glint of around four or five steel helmets, a to his horror, a bulky, boxy tank. It had a main gun.

"Shit, everyone get ready!" K'ark screeched as he ducked into the tank, the mug crashing down with him.

As he did, he heard a loud, fiery roar of an explosion, and not half a second after the hatch that he wanted to close came flying right off above his head. He was lucky the shell that hit it didn't detonate.

K'ark grabbed the telescope that lead to one of the outside mirrors and commanded almost imediatelly.

"Turn back and rotate us to the left, quick. We cannot let them hit us." he said.

The Kommissar's tank's driver did as such, rumbling as the tracks kicked up dirt and the engine pipes belched out black smoke.

"K'erke, angle the gun and fire," K'ark said "Do it snappy."

"Aye!"

The gun was angled, and soon a deafening roar of their own gun sounded. The screech of torn metal flying off and a fireball of an explosion echoed through the fields now turned battlefield, as the enemy tank got a nasty, bloody hole in its front side, and grinded to a halt.

However, K'ark noticed the rocket launcher that the infantry behind it had set up a bit too late.

The impact rocked his tank, K'ark's ears ringing from the blast, and black smoke filled the interior of the vehicle.

"Everyone keeping steady?" K'ark squeezed out through smoke.

"We are going to die!"

"What?" The Kommissar replied and tried to see through the clearing smoke.

K'larke had seemingly been hit with a piece of shrapnel, unconscious at the driver's controls, a slash on the side of his head cutting straight through his padded tanker's cap. K'erke meanwhile was frozen in place and visibly shaking.

"We are gonna die, we are gonna die!"

"K'erke, snap out of it! Get on the side gun, fast!"

"We are all going to die!!"

"No, we are not, but we will if you don't get on the damn gun!" K'ark kicked him in the shoulder from where he was seated.

That seemed to snap him out of it, even if barrely. Moments later several follow up shots with the smaller yet still heavy machinegun sounded, K'ark observing the enemy soldiers fleeing or getting shot into shreds through the telescope.

They got out one last rocket launcher shot as they were gunned down, it going off wildly, and exploding in the sky, an unnoficial sign of the militia's victory.

K'ark breathed a sigh of relief. Then punched his telescope sight. This was close, far too damn close. He then looked at his crew.

"K'erke, bandage K'larke. We are walking the rest of the way, fuck this helldamned tank." K'ark ruffled his own feathers.

This day was barely a victory. And who knew if they would actually make it to the rest of the convoy, but damn it if he wouldn't make them try.

Help setting up Doom multiplayer on Delta Touch?

I have rummaged around it and watched a few tutorial vids but none really applied to Delta Touch (or so I think).

So wanted to ask; how does one set up multiplayer on Delta Touch? Is Zandronium needed to be the source port enabled for it?

Plasma Tomes' Tales - The Tale of the Blazing Skies (Tale 1)

Author's Note: This is a series of one shots set in my own world I worldbuilt over time. They will all be 1st drafts, as I usually lose motivation through the editing process and just end up not posting, though maybe this will change.

Nevertheless, enjoy this short story.

.

Do you ever wonder what it would be like if mankind had stuck to Earth?

If we never landed on the moon or gone past it that is. Sure, a useless line of thought, but makes one think...

...That maybe all the discovery, exploration, genocide and pain could have been avoided. But it obviously didn't go that way, so who cares?

I do not claim I knew the world before the Federation formed. But I knew what I knew from when I was a child, and from what my parents have told me.

The old world had died the day a spaceship crashed near the old continent of Europe. But back in the day, people were told it was a "grand advancement oportunity" for Humanity.

New technology brought upon the space age, with the reverse-engineering of the FTL drive and its adaptation and use on our own spaceships. It was the Earth's United Interests who kept the circulation of the tech and its users' checks and balances in check.

In truth, it was a company created by some twat in a suit and approved and sanctioned by people too hopeful to see what would happen if EUI decided to monopolise what they clearly had access too.

But it was no big ordeal. Soon there was a small exploratory exodus, about a hundred ships strong, jumping into a nearby star sector. I wasn't yet there to see it.

But I knew the harshness that followed.

With inpouring tech, civilian and military, the world started to turn far too quickly for many. Scientific advancements in medicinal fields of cancer cure and bio-prosthetic creation were met with skepticism and hysteria. Paranoia flooded the social platforms, conspiracy theories that fueled riots were the results of a leap into the automation of factories that left many jobless.

Wars were also present. The ease of use and increase of the influx of advanced long range weaponry, quickly dropping into the underground market, left the more underdeveloped countries to stand up as tall as the at the time barely standing USA.

Not everything was bad. My family were some of the lucky ones to make it off world to a nearby colony, where although poor, we managed to be safe for the time being. Now there, I saw a true fleet sail towards Earth.

It had been known as the Earthen Coup, done in the year 2031. It saw ambitious elements of the EUI disband the company, and form the Earth's United Federation. That day and year, from the top of my home's tin rooftop, I saw it.

Hundreds of ships, rockets blazing, lightning the night sky like if it was morning. It was a terrible and magnificient sight, and I looked in wonder and poorly understood amazement.

They rained fire, massive hordes of private security personel turned soldiers and eventually nuclear warheads upon the few countries that remained of the old world. After it was conquered and Earth was whole under one banner, they set their sights on the Colonies.

I joined and marched amongst them. I didn't know it at the time - a failure that comes wih youth - but I was walking into hell and doom, similar to what my parents went through before.

The EUF would have a bloody reign. Guess it was similar to what came before it.

So, at the end of my life, I wonder. Maybe we should have stuck with being on Earth after all.

Or maybe that thought was what held us back all this time.

"So...Alicia, what caliber does your rifle fire?"

Alicia turned her head in the direction of her crewmember. It was a short bat-eared person she hired as an engineer. Contrary to him, she was a human; both standing in the kitchen part of her ship.

"'Round a pointing finger in length and a millian coin wide-ish." she replied.

The batfolk looked a bit confused.

"So...Big?"

"Ya."

"...Fair enough."
