Building an EdTech startup — 5 paying schools & ₹4L ARR. Looking to connect with investors

Hey everyone, I’m Raviteja from IIIT Hyderabad, and I’m currently working on my startup, NxtStepEdu.

We’re building an EdTech/SaaS platform for schools to manage their day-to-day academic and administrative operations.

We’re still at an early stage, but we’ve already reached:

- 5 paying schools

- ~₹4,00,000 ARR

- A live product with real users

We’re now looking to connect with angel investors, early-stage investors, or founders who are interested in backing early-stage startups, particularly in EdTech/SaaS.

At this stage, I’m looking for more than just funding — the right investor who can bring mentorship, connections, and experience scaling a SaaS business would be a great fit.

If this sounds interesting, feel free to DM me. I’d be happy to share more about NxtStepEdu, our traction, product, roadmap, and pitch deck.

Thanks!

[Web] Hoops GM — free NBA-style GM sim with a live match engine, no download

I've been building Hoops GM — a free basketball franchise manager that runs entirely in your browser (desktop + mobile, no sign-up).

You run the front office: trades, the draft lottery, free agency, the salary cap — then coach live games on a real possession-by-possession engine, with an owner who tracks your record and can fire you.

Extras: pick a "franchise idol" to build around, blitz games at up to MAX speed, chase a Hall-of-Fame dynasty across seasons.

Play (free): https://hoops-gm-chi.vercel.app

Would love any feedback on the first 5 minutes.

Me and my one of friend is working on an business idea from some time and now want to start working on it, leaving our jobs. But our idea requires an initial capital of about 1 CR to start. Is it realistically possible to get that much amount as seed funding in India? Any leads whom and how to approach.

Looking for an investor for my mobile venue + studio business

I’m TENDiE, an artist and the founder of ILIKEHOWITSSOUNDING.
I DO THIS FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME. I built this company to give independent talent the exact platform we deserve, with the ultimate goal of scaling this into the biggest label in the world. Im doing a 50 state tour to get deep into the music industry and scene of all artists, my plan is to buy a van, and convert it into a mobile studio and venue and travel the usa. Funds are a little tight and i figured id reach out to people who would be interested in helping out the cause. The music industry is dying and im trying my best to revive it.
Thank you for reading
Sincerely, TENDiE

How to get in on a startup?

I have a really smart friend who is in the process of developing a software product for the healthcare industry, specifically targeting surgical patients. I see huge potential here, and have quite a lot of skills I could offer to help him scale his to-be company. I believe I can bring a lot of knowledge and value. How does one go about formally pitching to become part of the project? I could become an investor and participate in that manner, but I could also see myself as a member of an advisory board, or even an employee. Could a person be all three? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Not sure how to even begin this conversation or pitch myself in a way that doesn't scream, "I want a stake in this because it might make me rich!".

Glad someone is investing in peace!

The whole train and the train station is covered in the peace initiative posters. I'm glad there's so much momey around to be invested in peace.

Or it's just that Switzerland used to process 80% of Russia's resource transactions and there's a lot of money to be made off of warring parties that may be served after the adoption of the initiative.

Notice how there's nowhere a SVP logo to be seen - the neutrality and peace connotation is everywhere. Umberto Eco would be proud. But also so very very sad.

Note also how only UN security council sanctions are to be respected. There's notably no UN sanctions against Russia. Certainly nothing to do with Russia sitting on it and having veto powers. /s

My prediction: this will be one of the votes that will be very close, and will be one of the few ones where the approval rating curve towards the vote will be uncharacteristic (normally a drop over time). Three other votes behaved like this too: E-ID, SRG and Nachhaltigkeitsinitiative. In my opinion, this behaviour is due to increased outside interest and influence, as they all follow the pattern of autocratic movements worldwide and they are all highly connected and help each other further their cause. These votes and this one are of high interest to them due to their repercussions and weakening of democracy stabilising structures.

Is 1-2% shares in a 4 year vest a low amount?

I’m joining an early-stage startup on the side alongside my normal job. They have a working web product that’s mobile responsive, but no native mobile app or dedicated mobile expertise.

I’d own mobile - initially adapting the existing product to meet App Store requirements and launch on iOS/Android. From there I’d own the mobile experience and features, work with designers, track key metrics and help decide what we build next. We’d regularly demo, get feedback and report progress against the metrics we own.

Longer term I’d lead a proper Flutter app. They intend to build multiple apps, so the equity is in the whole company.
The offer is around 1-2%, vesting over 4 years, with no salary for now. The founder wants to keep equity fairly thin initially, but has said if the core engineering team stays small, he’d rather give us more equity, with further grants also based on performance.

I’m not a co-founder and the product already exists, so I’m trying to gauge what’s reasonable for this kind of role.

Building an enterprise app for the SHOPLINE ecosystem. How do pre-revenue developers land launch capital ($35k) with low personal credit? [I will not promote.]

Hey folks,

My CTO and I are almost finished building a high-ticket B2B SaaS that integrates directly into e-commerce ecosystems to prevent backend/manufacturing loss. We have a signed corporate partnership agreement with SHOPLINE to get featured to their target merchant cohorts upon completion.

Because our pricing model targets larger operations ($4.4k/mo to $12.5k/mo tiers), we only need 1 or 2 conversions during our 14-day free trials to completely stabilize our runway and pay off any launch debts.

I need $35k to get us across the finish line. Because my credit is at 600 from bootstrapping, standard unsecured business lines are a no-go, and since we are pre-revenue, standard SaaS marketplaces won't trade the contract.

Are there specific e-commerce ecosystem lenders or niche grant programs that look heavily at the platform partnership rather than the founder's FICO? Would love to hear from any app developers who bridged this specific pre-launch cash gap. Thanks guys..

Looking for Investors - GPS tracking wearable for children

Hey everyone, my name is Ashwin, I'm an 17-year-old entrepreneur from Canada. I recently launched StepSafe Kids, a GPS wearable device for children with special needs. I'm looking for Investors to take this company to the next level. I launched the Kickstarter campaign 5 days ago, and got funded in the first 14 hours, selected as one of Kickstarters "Projects we Love" and now sitting at CA$10,170 (203% funded). Since I'm only 17, my budget for this project is very low (as I don't have much money, putting all my savings into it). I've launched the Kickstarter just to measure, and prove that there is demand for this product. I'm sure I can raise a considerable amount from Kickstarter itself, but having an experienced investor in the team that's interested in the product and wants to work with me long-term will be the most beneficial thing I can ask for for the company, as I hope to scale this to DTC and retail once the campaign closes. If anyone is interested, I'd love to set up a meeting to get to know each other, explain what's different about this compared to other GPS trackers, the reasons why you'd want to invest, risks, and everything in between.

Launched Fragrance Startup – self-funded, do I want to seek investment?

I've recently launched my self-funded start up after 2 years of product development – a Fragrance Brand that thinks about fragrance a little differently.

Fragrance touches some of the body's most absorptive skin, yet formulation standards lag far behind skincare. People shouldn't have to choose between smelling good and feeling good about what they put on their skin. Once I considered that more holistically, I set out to close the gap: Fragrance that supports the skin, held to a higher standard. Elevated, clean and supports the skin.

I've self funded the startup with my own cash and currently tossing up between seeking investment to put fuel on the fire, or go at my own pace. I've sold through 25% of my initial stock in the first 6 weeks of launch, using Shopify DTC and organic promotion and gifting. I've just started Meta ads but need to work on conversion.

This is my first beauty product after a career in digital product development, where I brought that same discipline — hypothesis, prototype, test, refine — plus a genuine passion for fragrance

Anyone in the beauty industry and at a similar stage? Thoughts on entering a new industry and considering investment?

Allow me to pitch you.

The road doesn't wait for perfect conditions. It respects movement.

I'm building a scheduled long-distance ride-matching platform. Drivers post upcoming trips in advance fixed pickup points, dropoff points, pricing. Passengers browse and book their seat ahead of time, so no standing at a stage hoping something shows up. Think of it as bringing structure to a transport system that's mostly ran on guesswork and word of mouth.

Already live: 30k+ community built organically (zero ad spend), 50+ rides matched daily, Android app on Play Store, webapp live too. We've also signed on to expand the model into another country beyond where we started.

Drivers are currently on a freemium model, with paid subscriptions rolling out within a month commission-per-booking planned after that as we scale. This raise isn't about replacing that revenue it's about accelerating it.

Every driver onboarded is also required to have a tracking device for safety and accountability. We've partnered with a supplier at 40 per unit, and after shipping/logistics costs, we net roughly USD700 per device onboarded. That margin is one of a few creative ways we're funding operations on top of subscription revenue, not a replacement for it.

We already have 50 drivers on the platform. The plan: onboard 50 more, 100 drivers × USD70 net margin =USD7000. More than double what we're raising.

Raising Usd,3000 to get us fully operational either one person or a pool of people. This is a loan, not a gift: paid back in full within 12 months.

On top of getting your money back, the equity retained is 2% total if it's one person, that's the full 2%; if it's a pool, it's split based on how much each person puts in. USD500 in gets you a proportional slice.

If it's one person coming in for the full amount, there's a seat at the table especially if you've got a finance background and want to be hands-on in the day-to-day. You're not just lending you're in, permanently, at a price nobody gets once we raise properly later.

If that's something you want in on, or you just want to watch how this plays out win or lose inbox me. I'll add you to a Google Meet where I'll walk through the full pitch, numbers, and terms live. Documenting the whole thing either way.
