Let go 60 days into an AE role despite building pipeline - how would you handle this?

Hey everyone,

Looking for some advice because I’m in a pretty weird situation.

I’ve been an AE for almost 3 years and came up through a Founding BDR role before moving into leadership and eventually full-cycle sales. Heavy outbound background and I’ve always built the majority of my own pipeline.

Earlier this year, a health-tech SaaS company reached out to me on LinkedIn and recruited me away from my previous company. I wasn’t actively looking to leave, but the opportunity sounded like a great next step.

Things were going really well. I self-sourced roughly $100K in pipeline within my first 60 days and had multiple opportunities progressing into later stages.

Then came my 60-day check-in.

I joined the call with my new Sales Director, noticed HR was there and assumed it was standard. Instead, I was told I was being terminated effective immediately.

No warning, no PIP and no previous conversations about poor performance. I asked for feedback and wasn’t really given an explanation.

Once the news spread, multiple teammates messaged me privately saying they were shocked because they thought I had been killing it.

A few days later, I received my ROE and it listed “poor performance,” which confused me even more considering the pipeline I had built and the fact that I hadn’t received any negative feedback.

I had negotiated my compensation when joining, and the company also had a ramp accelerator where closing $100K ARR during probation could result in roughly $30K in commission. Some of my deals were progressing toward closing within that period. Could that have played a role? Maybe, but without an explanation it’s just speculation.

The hardest part is that I left my previous SaaS company while performing well, with roughly $400K in pipeline, closed-won business and commissions still on the table. I left because they approached me and I genuinely thought it was a better long-term opportunity.

Now I’m trying to figure out how to navigate the short tenure without letting 60 days overshadow several years of strong sales experience.

Appreciate any advice.

Looking for Sales role

Hey everyone,

I’m from India and have been looking for a remote tech sales role for a while now, preferably SDR/BDR/Inside Sales.
I’ve got 3+ years of sales experience across outbound, inbound, and consultative selling. Most of my selling experience has been with customers in the US, UK, and Europe, so I’m pretty comfortable working with international clients and different time zones.

I’ve done around 1–2 years of outbound sales for a service-based company, along with inbound and consultative sales as well.

Honestly, I’m just looking for a good company/startup where I can prove myself. I’d especially love to work with an early-stage startup where I can help build pipeline and bring in revenue.
I’m not looking for a huge salary either. I’m happy with a reasonable base + performance/commission structure and would rather prove my value through results.
Not looking for commission-only, though, since I do need a fixed salary component.

If anyone here is hiring or knows a startup looking for an SDR/BDR, feel free to DM me. Happy to share my resume.

Looking for SaaS Co’s Crushing it

Appreciate some first hand feedback here not just RepVue (been hitting up reps on LinkedIn too).

Context, 500k W2 last year. 1M - 5M acv deals normal.
Quota just BLEW UP due to IBM acquisition. Sad.
This year likely half that W2.

Most of my team left for AI niche companies - but grass is not always greener. Several have hopped and complained about poor mgmt and lack of ramp and payout.

So, who is doing consistent pipeline and 300k-500k W2 with company growth 20% plus annually? Usually these aren’t headline companies.

Assuming SaaS, AI infra, Neocloud.

15yrs in SaaS. Let’s talk president club people!

[Hiring] 2 Setters | Inbound | Salaried + Commision

TaskBlink runs personalized cold outreach for B2B agencies — web design, software, marketing, SEO, automation. Our system crawls a business's website, finds what's actually broken on it, and reaches out with a specific, personal message: here's what's wrong, here's how I'd fix it, here's what you can expect.

We have more people saying "yes, I'm interested" than we can physically call.

That's the whole job. You call the people who already raised their hand, follow a script we've already proven, and book them onto a closer's calendar. No outbound, all leads are loaded into a dialer and you just smile and dial. Everything is done in GHL.

You get a guaranteed $1,000/month base, plus $50 for every appointment that shows. Realistic $3,000–$5,000/month. Our top setter is past $6,000.

$1M+ staffing biller, 7 years in, and I’m completely burnt out. How the hell do I get out?

Alright everyone, I need your help.

I’m trying to leave staffing SO BAD.

I’ve been in staffing sales for some time now. I’m a $1M+ biller in the life sciences staffing world, but my well has been running dry. Our recruiting team sucks, and 7 years into this industry, I’m tired of my success depending so heavily on someone else. Our product is a living object than can pick and choose what to do…

I’m tired of waking up on a Friday to find out 3 contractors were fired without warning for the dumbest shit in the world, and basically there goes an extra $3,400/month from my paycheck overnight.

I’m just so fed up with the motion. I’m fed up with selling a product where there’s really no differentiation beyond, “Can I get this person to like me more than the other sucker who calls them 5 minutes later?”

My suggestions for improving things seem to fall on deaf ears with leadership, so genuinely, I’m checked out.

I’ve been applying on the side to SaaS companies in Life Sciences, thinking that could be a natural transition since I already understand the buyers and industry. I’ve also been applying outside of Life Sciences because, at this point, I’m open. But for the life of me, I cannot even get a conversation with a recruiter!

I know how to sell myself. I know how to sell, period. I have zero doubts about that. I’ve built my own pipeline multiple times, broken into some of the hardest enterprise accounts…but I genuinely don’t know what I need to do differently just to get noticed and have a conversation. I’ve refined and improved my resume a million times as well, and still nothing.

So, if you’re a recruiter here looking for sales folks and open to even a proactive conversation, another sales rep who successfully escaped staffing, someone wanting to vent alongside me, or someone building out a team…I’m all ears.

What industries would you look at with my background? How did those of you who left staffing successfully reposition yourselves? Open to networking, advice, opportunities, whatever.

Cheers, and have a good weekend!

I Have Time, I Can Learn Fast — Just Looking for Someone to Give Me an Opportunity

Hi everyone,

29M here.

I currently work for a private company in a customer support role, fully WFH. The salary isn’t great, and honestly, I don’t see much of a long-term future in customer support unless I can provide an imaginary IIT/IIM degree.

I also have family responsibilities, so I can’t just quit my current job or make a sudden career switch. WFH is also important for me because of some family circumstances.

However, since I work from home, I have a decent amount of spare time outside my regular work hours. Rather than wasting that time, I’m looking for someone who can actually offer me some work, a project, a part-time role, or an opportunity that I can pursue alongside my current job.

A little about me:
5 years of experience in customer support
Degree in Civil Engineering (wasted)
Tech-savvy
Yes i am into AI tools and vibe coding too
Have fairly experimented with various things, from WordPress to n8n .
I pick up new products and software very quickly
Good at understanding products and explaining them to people
No formal sales experience, but I’m open to getting into sales

If you have a startup, SaaS product, agency, small business, sales operation, AI project, or anything else where you could use someone for a few hours a day, I’d genuinely be interested.

I’m hoping someone actually has an actual gig that they need help with and is willing to give me a shot.

Thanks
