Amount decrease

They have done this to me three years in a row. Every year, my account summary page will say a certain amount. I will sign my documents, and that amount will stay consistent for 5-6 months. Then, every single year in the middle of the school year, suddenly 4-6k is gone and they never tell me why. They always gaslight me and say the amount hasn’t changed, so this year I’ve been taking a screenshot of the summary every week, and I’m interested to see how they play it off tomorrow when I call them.

Do they do this to anyone else?? It is highly discouraging because I’ll get excited, thinking I can use the excess amount to focus on school more and work a little less, but they pull it out from under me every single time with no explanation of why. I even have an extra class this semester, and they still hit me with a random 4.5k decrease this time.

UOPX For the Working Mom!

As an entrepreneur of 12 years, when I decided to go back to school to obtain a business degree. I know I needed to find something that would be flexible within my schedule.

My schedule included doing schoolwork between the times of 10pm to 2am just a few days a week.

The University of Phoenix exceeded my expectations and gave me the flexibility I needed with my busy lifestyle and schedule.

I'm forever grateful for my time at this University and plan to go back to obtain my Masters as well. Maybe even a Doctorate!

I feel like the sky is the limit now with my degree expirations through the University of Phoenix and I love the community it's presented me with other professionals local in my state and throughout the world.

Attended My First ALUMNI Event

As an Alumni since 2019 this was my first one and I will be coming to more I just wanted to share what it’s like for other Alumni’s and current students. I also went to San Jose State and my classmates don’t get Alumni events of this caliber, they really went above and beyond for us.

Has anyone heard anything about the University of Phoenix Dean’s List/President’s List giveaway?

Did anyone actually win the University of Phoenix Dean’s List/President’s List giveaway? 😅 I saw tons of people posting their entries, but I haven’t seen UOP announce any winners or anyone say they won. Has anyone been contacted?

We Rise, Forever Phoenix

Forever Phoenix | The Journey Never Ends

When people ask me what the University of Phoenix means to me, my answer is simple:

It gave me more than an education.

It gave me the confidence to rediscover who I was becoming.

As a Forever Phoenix, I've learned that every assignment, every late night, every moment of self-doubt, and every challenge was shaping something far greater than a transcript. It was shaping my character, strengthening my resilience, and reminding me that growth happens one intentional step at a time.

Education isn't a finish line—it's a lifelong commitment to becoming better than you were yesterday. Your journey may not always be easy, and your path may look different from someone else's, but if you remain focused on your purpose, stay true to yourself, and have the courage to step confidently into who you're called to be, your journey will always lead to a destination of fulfillment.

I've learned that success isn't measured only by the degree hanging on the wall. It's measured by the lives we impact, the leaders we become, and the legacy we choose to leave behind.

To every current student, fellow alum, and future Phoenix: keep believing in yourself. Keep learning. Keep growing. The world needs what only you can bring.

Because once you're a Phoenix, the journey doesn't end at graduation—it simply gives you new wings.

My University of Phoenix Journey — A Dream I Refused to Give Up On 🎓

In July 2025, in Orlando, I proudly graduated from the University of Phoenix with my Associates degree in Business. ❤️🎓 Nothing about earning this degree was easy. I was raising two children as a single mom, working full-time as a chef, managing a household, and still finding the strength to sit down and complete my schoolwork. There were days I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and wondered how I was going to keep going—but I did. One of the most memorable parts of my University of Phoenix journey was simply not giving up when life gave me every reason to. Every assignment, late night, long workday, and sacrifice became part of a bigger picture. Walking across that stage in Orlando wasn't just about receiving a degree—it was proof that I could accomplish something I once thought might be impossible. This degree has helped shape what comes next by reminding me that I am capable of more. It has given me the confidence to continue building my future, growing my career, and pursuing my entrepreneurial dreams. I didn't have an easy journey. I had a determined one. 💪🏽❤️

A Dream 26 Years in the Making

2nd Time Around!

Hello My Phoenix family. My name is Queen, and I am pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration at the University of Phoenix. I am also a mother, a death doula, a grief specialist, and a woman who refused to believe that time or life circumstances meant my dream had passed me by.

This journey means so much to me because I first began working toward this dream 26 years ago. Life took me down a different path, and I dedicated much of that time to raising three amazing children. Now, all three of them are preparing to graduate from their universities this spring. Watching them prepare to cross their finish lines while I continue working toward mine is one of the proudest and most emotional chapters of my life.

The most valuable part of my journey at the University of Phoenix has been learning that delayed does not mean denied. I have continued pursuing my education while balancing work, family, health challenges, grief, and personal losses. There have been moments when life (including now) felt extremely heavy, but I kept showing up.

Earning a place on the President's List for a second time, is more than an academic achievement for me. It is proof that perseverance matters. It reminds me that I am still capable, still growing, and still becoming everything I dreamed I could be.

I hope my journey reminds someone else that it is never too late to return, begin again, and finish what has always been in your heart.

Trusting the Process 📚✨

Hi everyone! My name is Ajia and I’m currently in the Master of Science in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.

The most valuable part of my journey at the University of Phoenix has been the growth I’ve experienced along the way. I came into this program knowing that I wanted to learn how to leave a lasting impact on my community, but I don’t think I realized how much becoming a counselor would also require me to learn about myself. Each course challenged me in ways I could not even begin to imagine, my residency experience pushed me completely out of my comfort zone and helped me become more confident in my ability to connect with and support others.

My residency has been one of the most rewarding parts of the program so far because I was able to take everything I had l learned online and begin applying it in real counseling interactions. It reminded me that becoming a counselor is truly a process, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited for everything that still lies ahead.

I’m grateful for the journey so far and excited to see where it takes me next! ✨
