14060M To refinish or Not
I have this 14060M from 2005. Do you think I should get it refinished or leave it as it is? Also, how much would it cost to get the case and the bracelet refinished?

I was recommended to post here by a fellow redditor. Trying to verify authenticity of this piece, figured additional fellow redditors could help lol. Picked up online, had verified by jeweler, verified by Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, and another Ai software for authentication for watches.
A few things to note, the hands have been replaced aftermarket. The watch has had previous water damage (some kind of moisture at some point in the case) likely from bad crystal or gasket back in the day, and was polished all noted by my jeweler. New crystal, aftermarket jubilee, aftermarket bezel/insert and pip. Everything else seems original as well as the jewelers notes, when he checked case engravings and dial and movement under loop to verify he seemed to believe its authenticity. Curious on other notes or anything I’m missing.
i recently acquired a rolex 6426 and have a couple of questions about it’s winding behaviour.
first, should there be any clicking sound while winding the watch as mine winds silently with no clicks at all?
i’ve also noticed that the crown has a slight kickback with every turn while winding. is that normal, or could it indicate an issue with the movement? thanks in advance
edit: the 6426 uses the same 1210 movement as the 6694 but without the date mechanism
My 16700 came on black original insert. Have afterwards bought both a coke and pepsi bezel (original, of course) and have it now on the coke.
I know its not 100% kosher. But you could at least until recently get a coke as a service insert no questions asked at any AD. But as you may know, all of a sudden Rolex stepped in and said "nope" and you can not anymore get another color at service, they will only give you the one that it came with, and if exchanged, take the old one.
Because now its a finite amount, they prices have skyrocketed on insert. If you can get it at AD 150EUR, but grey marked a very good one now like 700-1400EUR (!). This is a total bummer in my opinion and I can´t really understand what was the point from Rolex side? Would changing color on bezel somehow hurt their sales or reputation new watches? Its puzzling to me...
Anyway that is a side note. But to be honest, while I really like the coke look, it obviously bothers a little bit every time I wear the watch that it after all is not 100% correct. Am I just being silly? Or should I just insert the pepsi again so its historically correct?
I understand there is no right or wrong, just opinions... But let´s say you see someone wearing a coke on a 16700. Would you say, cool man, or would you with a subtle comment shame the bastard?
Not bad for a ~54 year old watch.
Sorry noob stretch question. I've done some reading and I'm happy for a vintage look/feel, but worried about structural failure if I'm missing something here. Is this too much stretch? Is an overhaul for the bracelet worth considering (UK).
Looking for recs on vintage Rolex repair shop in Seattle area. Ideally, Ian or near Kirkland, WA. Need to get my Rolex Daytona big Red 6265 serviced. It stopped winding. Also chrono won’t work.
This is a birth year watch for me 1997 16200 datejust bought originally from swissonly.eu which they also authenticated the watch and have a great customer service
They offered hands replacement straight away but it wasn't needed based on the second authentication I did which turned out that the hands are authentic
Went to TP lab here in dubai had a bad experience overall They flaged the hands as fake Refused to provide any details other than its not rolex finishing quality
Also Refused that I speak to the watch maker
Went straight to Momentum Dubai which is a shop that specialises in vintage swiss watches
They said the whole watch including the hands are authentic
Spoke to TP lab for more notes on authentication and their justification but still no clear answer
Reading the reviews on their original business Timepiece360 it had the same pattern the watch maker will flag different watches as fake or part of it as fake And the customer will get a second opinion and its authentic
What I learned I need to do more research before getting a 30 minutes authentication from them And I will advise on avoiding them completely
My late Father gifted me my first Rolex (16234) when I graduated from college. I wore it all through my 20’s and early 30’s. I wore a Submariner (16610) that I bought myself in 2000 from my early 30’s to my mid 50’s.
When my daughter graduated from college, I gifted her the watch my father gave me. Last month my son graduated from college, and I gifted him my Submariner.
So i only have one watch left. I think I feel old/mature enough to finally wear an all gold watch (18238).
Below are some pictures of some of them being worn.
Would like help with more specific identification. Here is what I know. From what my father told me (wish I asked more but he is now deceased), my aunt bought this in the 60s or early 70s. She had the smallest wrists ever and changed band. They jokingly called it the “baby Rolex”. It says 100 IRID 900 PLAT on back.
Still works and I gave it to my daughter who wears on occasion. I have found somewhat similar ones online - but they were gold and disintegrated indicate plat. Is this genuine? If so, rare? Any more specific model info? Thanks!
Found this in my uncle’s desk. It appears to have been sitting untouched for over 30 years. It still runs and has a smooth sweeping seconds hand. I have not opened the case or removed the bracelet yet. Before I take it to a watchmaker, I’d appreciate any thoughts on likely reference, originality of the dial/hands/bezel, or anything that immediately stands out. Not looking for a valuation yet—just trying to understand what I have.
