I am in Tarawa for the week

And today I visited pretty much everything that's still there from the battle. There are no signs and it's hard to get to some places, but the island is so small that you can eventually find most of the stuff. Being here makes you understand how tiny this strip of land really is. May all men who died here rest in peace.

Put my Tank on an alligator strap I had made in Rome

Today I decided to change the original strap on my Tank for a custom made alligator strap I had made in a tiny shop in Rome. I may like this more than the original strap!

SOTC - collecting since 2023

This is my current collection. I started properly collecting in 2023, but I acquired some of the pieces before that, like my daily beater Casio Lineage that I have had since 2014 (amazing watch - not a single issue in 12 years) and that Soviet Raketa Copernicus that my dad bought in Moscow some time during the 80s.

Next, I am on a list for a Submariner no date. I welcome any suggestion though. Thanks!

16233 Two-tone Datejust birth year watch 🍾

I just acquired this Datejust, and I'm completely in love with the way the champagne dial and bezel catch the light.

I have always been in love with the 80s and 90s and this piece is truly an icon from that era.

I'd say it's in pretty good condition too, considering it's from 1989. I wish I could say the same about myself!

Found photo at Gianicolo hill, Rome

First post, yay! There's a well-known wedding venue nearby, so I imagine the photo came from there.

In love with the understated elegance of the Must

I acquired this piece as a dress watch to wear at formal events, but I like it so much that it has entered my daily rotation. Surprisingly, I am also receiving a lot of compliments from friends and family, when usually no one notices what I am wearing on my wrist.

From game to reality

I am currently playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and this week I went to Cambodia for work. Now, I know Sukhothai is in Thailand, but the Siem Reap temples look exactly like those in the game. It was such an uncanny feeling walking around here, but unfortunately I could not find puzzles to solve. I was also missing my whip.

Needless to say, if you haven't been, visit the temples in Siem Reap. They are mind blowing.
