[i ate] Poor man’s popeye’s crispy chicken sandwich

Made at home with a t-fal deep fryer. I’m sure my arteries disagree with me, but this was one of my best purchases for saving money since I can satisfy the occasional cravings for fast food/comfort food without needing to go pay Mcdonald’s $15 for a “value meal”.

Ingredients/shopping list:

Brioche bun

Mayonnaise

Jane’s restaurant-style chicken patties

McCain straight cut fries

Salt

Dill pickle

Deep fry fries for 5 minutes, salt, put in foil to keep warm. Deep fry chicken patty for 6 minutes. Toast bun while frying chicken. Spread both sides of bun with mayo. Place patty on bottom bun, add dill pickles, top with bun.

Cost per meal:

Jane’s chicken patty $9.99 CAD (on sale from $14.99), 8x per package

Brioche buns $4, 4 per package

McCain fries $5

Mayo $5 per bottle

Dill pickles $6 per container

1 patty (~$1.25) + 1 bun ($1) + 1/4 bag of fries ($1.25) + 1 pickle (~$0.5) + mayo (~$0.15) = $4.15 CAD per meal

In the "BnL Shorts" Blu-Ray Extra called "Operation Cleanup", Shelby Forthright shows his hoped future of Earth made "BnL Better". Curiously, there appear to be more BnL locations in Canada than in the U.S., with several in very Northern areas with very low population.
