[Waikiki] Hotel Picking Fatigue - Advice for Adult-Focused lounge areas?
Staying 6 nights in Waikiki. Goal is to surf (beginner) and relax. No kids. Just me. Maybe some excursions (Kualoa Ranch for sure).
Plan is to:
- Take 5 Surf Lessons (company called stokedrift has a package, I figure I'll surf a decent bit, I'm currently a beginner)
- Relax with a pina colada by the pool to read a book, etc (Seems like no drinking @ the beach, so I figure the hotel pool is the spot to relax not the beach?)
- Massive points for kid-free-areas. Kids are great, but this trip is partially to relax, so tranquility is appreciated and I rly don't want screaming kids when I'm chilling.
What I've checked out so far:
- Wayfinder Waikiki ($1700)
- Hyatt Regency ($1600 direct booking)
- Hyatt Centric ($1700 Costco)
- Hyatt Place ($1500)
- Free breakfast buffet
- Alohilani ($1700)
- Sheraton ($2,374.52)
- Comes with breakfast
- Adult-only infinity pool area
- Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort ($1400 Costco)
- Adult only pool area
- UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!
Still looking, but is there anything like what I'm looking for that fits the bill? Sheraton seems the closest, but it is hard to justify paying another $700 over the Hyatts. Also, if there's any tips on my surf lesson plan, do lmk :)
