New player question: Offline or Online?

I recently finished hell for the first time (with help in the later Hell Acts) with my Online Fury Javazon.

I'm enjoying the endgame and farming hell cows at level 81, but I am thinking of switching to Offline to experience the real grind and also to set player counts manually.

Any advice for a newish player with a day job?

Post-DefenceCon Fleet (waiting for Alien Week)

I have 2 more Railen and 2 more Hull B ccu's before the price increases. Still enjoying solo ships though, so not applying any chains except for one Railen maybe (as shown above).

With the addition of engineering, and the upcoming changes to insurance claims, component degradation, etc., I'm wondering if I should stick with smaller ships...
