Do these people even realize House Targaryen literally got wiped out in the show? And Hightowers are anything but irrelevant, they are still literally one of the most powerful houses in the entire realm! Same goes for "Aegon's line died out" argument, as if Rhaenyra's line also didn't die with Daenerys, considering John is anything but an official Targaryen in the show.
