I hate them, but I love them.

I'm tired and ready for bed.

What a rollercoaster. They showed something I'm proud of.

Don't forget Souths are a quality team. We got blown out of the water in the first half and we can blame a number of reasons for that (I have plenty) but be proud no matter the result. Sucks hard and hurts to lose but at least they didn't roll over.

Good night and happy to discuss in the morning. Plenty to chat about.

Have we turned Brian Kelly into a footballer?

Don't want to call the early crow tonight but lately the lad is going great guns. Hope he keeps it up and Penisini stays out of the team.

I know little about candles - but this is crazy beautiful. Any help with how I can get more of it? (Australia)

Got this candle as a promo item, smells insane.

Really struggling to find information about it. Can anyone help me with where I can find either it or similar? Thank you very much in advance.

My life in fragrances

I've always been a light user so some of these are getting old but I love just smelling them and remembering the stages of my life. Starting to get some better ones now though and becoming a regular user.

Male,mid-late 40s, 25 years in mining, lots of sun exposure. Routine is going well but wondering if I should level up?

G'day all,

Male, mid to late 40s.

I've been working in the Australian mining industry in the field for around 25 years, so my skin has seen plenty of harsh sun, heat, dust, wind, and generally rough conditions over the years.

I've never really had any major skin issues. Hardly any breakouts, a few mild acne scars from years back, and I'd say my skin is combination most of the year but gets very dry during the drier months.

A few months ago I decided to put a bit more effort into skincare, and so far my routine seems to be doing the job.

Morning:

CeraVe Vitamin C Serum

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Serum

CeraVe PM Facial Moisturising Lotion

Hamilton Everyday Face SPF 50+

Night:

CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum (currently every second night)

CeraVe PM Facial Moisturising Lotion

Sometimes an extra night cream if my skin feels dry

What I've noticed so far:

Skin feels a lot smoother

Hardly any breakouts (pretty much none)

Skin tone looks a bit more even

No major irritation from the retinol

Just a little dryness/tightness, which is probably more from the very dry climate where I work

Chemist Warehouse has La Roche-Posay at 50% off at the moment, and I'm thinking about giving a couple of things a try:

La Roche-Posay Retinol B3 Serum

Maybe a few of their other products

My question is:

Is it worth upgrading from the CeraVe products if they're already working well, or am I likely just paying more for a small improvement?

For anyone who's used both CeraVe and La Roche-Posay, did you notice much of a difference?

Also happy to hear any suggestions for someone in their 40s with a long history of sun exposure who wants to keep things fairly simple.

Cheers

What a rollercoaster. What a win.

I’m an Eels member living in Townsville, so being there last night made that one feel extra good. I absolutely love when we beat the Cows.

I honestly had a feeling all week we had one of those random big performances in us. Not a perfect game, not an 80-minute clinic… but one where we’d scrap, stay in it, and find enough big moments to get the job done.

That’s exactly what happened.

There were times the Cowboys had us stretched everywhere. Watching Chester and Purdue turn us inside out at times wasn’t exactly fun from the stands, and there were definitely moments where it looked like momentum had completely swung.

But we just kept hanging around.

Jordan Samrani was enormous. That late try where he stepped through and backed himself gave us life, and then that run down the sideline to put Joash over a couple of minutes later… unreal. Both of them were massive when it mattered most.

Then you get to golden point and Mitchell Moses does what elite players do.

Far from perfect, but effort, grit and belief were there all night. We didn’t always get it right, but we did more than enough.

Watching that finish live in a Townsville crowd as an Eels supporter… that’s one I’ll remember for a long time.

Proud member. Up the Eels.

P.S I lost my voice and drank enough XXXX Gold my Garmin went flat from counting the stairs I climbed during the night.

Townsville Captains Run?

I've been scouring through everything to see if I could find information about this week's captains run - usually there's plenty of emails etc for Townsville members at the very least but this year there seems to be little.

The captains run is at the Sports Reserve on Thursday and that's all I could find. It appears the Sydney based fans that have paid for the travel package get exclusive access but the loyal long suffering North Queenslanders (feels like it's been 84 years since the last regular season game up here) seem to be missing out.

Have I glossed over important information that has been sent out or posted? I think the logical next step is to contact the club with a strongly worded facsimile 😁.
