Tips for Phoenix

I’ve seen several posts from folks who are not from Arizona going to the Phoenix show on Wednesday. I wanted to give some tips from a local…

If you have not been to Phoenix in the summer, you likely cannot understand the intensity of the heat and the seriousness of its effects on your body. YOU MUST DRINK MORE WATER THAN YOU THINK. If you are thirsty, you’ve waited too long.

The high on Wednesday is 112. Phoenix has very little shade and a lot of concrete, so a reasonable walk in other cities can quickly become unbearable here. Bring water, wear a hat, protect yourself from the sun.

Think long and hard before lining up for early merch outside. If you choose to do so, bring water and an umbrella that can provide shade. Make sure you have sunscreen on, even if you have dark skin.

Chase Field will almost certainly have the roof up and the AC on. But again - drink water. Dehydration will be the quickest way to ruin your night.

And finally, once you feel you’ve drank enough water, drink some more.

Is she seriously repping John f’ing Galliano??

I cannot imagine wanting to wear something with his name on it, this publicly, after he went on a racist rant so heinous he literally was convicted and fined for it.

Do we think he will address the controversy directly?

I have tickets for his show on the 27th. I’m still in some level of denial and feel like maybe he could say or do something to fix this. Do we think he will address this at all? Or will he just ignore it and hope it goes away?

Quick question for the new mod: What’s wrong with you?

I’m so curious as to what has to happen to a person to make them do something like this. Give us some insight - why would you do something so inexplicably unpopular to such a benign and previously pleasant sub?

(ready to be banned for “hate speech”)

I completely fucking love this book, and I feel like in some other timeline it’s the “it” book of the season. It’s like if “All Fours” was about a regular-ass woman without the money and fame. Just so so good.
