Should I be worried about why my gekco stands like this?

My gecko will stand in this odd, uncomfortable-looking position for five to ten minutes at a time, usually with his eyes closed like this.

Then he'll go about exploring the enclosure or splooting as normal.

Is this weird? Or am I being a paranoid gecko mom?

The power company destroyed my fence and left tree limbs everywhere- is this legal?

My power company sent guys out to trim the trees away from the power lines. They trimmed a very large elm in my backyard, and in addition to this causing an eight-hour-long planned power outage that extended into the hottest part of the day that we were not notified would be happening, the guys trimming the trees dropped several very large limbs on my chain link fence and completely destroyed it. The chain link is flattened to the ground, the metal bar that goes across the top of it is bent in half, and they broke a lattice with a rose bush growing up it.

And they didn't even clean up the tree limbs, they left all the debris all over the neighborhood. There are several disabled residents of our neighborhood, myself included who cannot clean up this kind of mess ourselves. If they do not clean it up in going to pay someone to come do it, and fix my fence.

I was working from home when they were out there and I heard a metallic sounding crunch (I assume my fence breaking) and a man yelling curse words but I was in a zoom meeting and couldn't run outside to see what had happened. The guys trimming the trees made no effort to let me know what had happened or apologize, and the company has not contacted me.

It cannot be legal for them to destroy property like this, right?

I posted a TikTok criticizing gynecology and this happened minutes later...

I posted this video to a TikTok account that I've had and consistently posted on since 2019, this is currently the only TikTok account that I personally have. Although I do have one for We Deserve Better and one for my business and have had a few backup accounts over the years.

Minutes after posting this video I received a notification from TikTok saying that my account is no longer being recommended because I'm "posing" as another person or organization.

Personally, I find it highly suspicious that this happened minutes after posting a video criticizing gynecology, when I've been banned multiple times in the past for doing so.

Especially when I'm criticizing the unethical ways they make money off medically unnecessary exams.

Seems like a way to limit the reach and visibility of people speaking out.

The video is stuck at 0 views at the time I posted this.

Nobody is seeing my content anymore.

The crickets are killing me with sensory overload wtf do I do?

I moved to a rural area expecting it to be peaceful and minimize my sensory overload but instead it's been the complete opposite and probably the worst mistake of my life.

The place I moved into is an older double-wide trailer, it has absolutely no insulation and I can hear everything that goes on outside, including the neighbors driving in and out of their driveway, the wind, the rain, and the fucking crickets...

Not only can I hear them outside, which is manageable, but they're getting in the house and they're in the walls.

No matter how much but spray I spray they just keep coming, I started out catching them in cups and releasing them, then I got desperate and started just spraying them with bug spray.

I'm currently sleeping in my living room on an air mattress because there's one in the wall right behind my bed.

I slept in my car for a week earlier in the spring because they were in both my bedroom and living room.

I'm in a contant state of sensory overload and misery because of them. There are literally hundreds of not thousands of them all chirping at once. I have to wear headphones constantly just to function.

I knew I had bad sensory issues but this is hell. Any advice on how to deal with it or should I just accept that I blew my savings on this move and leave?

Pap smears absolutely can be sexual assault and I'm tired of being told they can't be.

With all the discourse going on about pap smears in social media right now the "medical exams can't be sexual assault" crowd is out in full force again.

What are your thoughts on the Nella speculum?

I'm currently writing a piece on this product as well a script for a YouTube/TikTok video and I'd love to hear some thoughts from the community about it.

I put my shop on vacation mode back in February out of burn out and exhaustion with Etsy's crap.

Every month since I've gotten badges for my stellar customer service! Including responding to messages and on time shipping!... On a store that is closed and hasn't received any messages or shipped any orders since the beginning of February.
