This was my first attempt at doing a satin finish, and it was honestly kind of a horrible kit to do it on. A satin finish has four layers: primer, silver, clear color, and flat topcoat. If it gets damaged, there's really no easy way to repair the paint job without stripping all of it off and starting over. And this kit, boy does it have a lot of pieces bumping into each other. The head can't turn without knocking into the cockpit, the Slash-Harkens (the pointy bits on the shoulder joints) get in the way of basically everything, and the elbow joints are so tight that they're always rubbing against other pieces when they rotate. It's just not an easy kit to paint. Which is a shame, because I LOVE this design.
