As far as we know, it was the container of Terra's heart, not his Heartless (EDIT: IT'S STATED IN KH3 ULTIMANIA, IT'S FACTUAL, IT'S NOT TERRA'S HEARTLESS).

We don't even know if that thing is a Heartless or not, despite its look it never has been listed as one in the games nor in Ultimania guidebooks.

Do you think they'll ever develop something regarding this thing? How Xehanort obtained it? If it's a Heartless, who's it?

Since the latest trailer dropped, I’ve seen a lot of people claiming that the version of Xehanort in Quadratum is the "14th life" he mentioned, and that this was his master plan all along. But... isn't that taking things a bit too literally? It doesn't necessarily mean it was already planned out by YX.

He's not even sure how many lives he wants, he first said 12 before correcting himself and switching to 13, then 14. It sounds like a playful discussion between two young boys, but with a tragic irony regarding what's actually going to happen from our perspective.

​I don't believe Xehanort already had the 13 Seekers of Darkness vs 7 Guardians of Light plan mapped out in his youth. I believe it's a goal and a method that took him decades to understand, that he matured over a long period of time. Otherwise, he would certainly have acted much sooner, he wouldn’t have waited until he was old and on the verge of death.

​To me, the quote from DR feels more like a meta-reference to us, to the players / spectators, hinting at the idea that Xehanort will appear one more time.
