People who didn’t survive in the Metro games

Do you think some people in Russia died in the war, and that’s why there are so few survivors in the games?
Or is it just because Russia has a relatively low population spread out over a large amount of land?

I also considered that it’s possible that some people survived the war, but died in the nuclear winter following.

Just wanted to hear thoughts from other players.

Will this chain work? (Roland JC-120)

I want to use my JC-120 for direct input but am scared of frying something.

If the chorus set up seems confusing, i’m trying to create a stereo chorus effect, much like the one on the JC-120.

I don’t really understand how any of this works and i’m too dumb to figure it out for myself, won’t be trying anything until I get a response.

Thanks for any advice!

Are there any towns within a couple hours of Philadelphia that have a Possum Springs feel?

Next year I plan on visiting NYC again from the UK, this time with plans to spend some time in Philadelphia.
As a long time NITW fan and someone with an interest in Pennsylvania (dutch history, music from the state like alex g and title fight, the rust belt), i’m excited to be able to visit and was wondering if any smaller towns/cities within a reasonable distance of Philly resemble Possum Springs, or might have had an influence on the game.

In anyone knows anything at all, lmk! Thx!

does anyone else feel that everyone is out of their league?

TL;DR: i feel like everyone is out of my league even when maybe they aren’t.

this is probably less of a relationship problem thing and more of a me thing (16M) but it kind of gets in the way of dating and i was just wondering if anyone else can relate.

no matter what i do, i have this inescapable feeling that everyone is way out of my league. i don’t ask people out, because the it feels like there’s no chance or point in doing so, even when we’re in the same social circles.
i feel kind of gross even being attracted to people.

when someone asks me out/hits on me or says they have a crush on me it kind of puts me off of them, even if i find them attractive, and i’m not sure why.
in a way i just find it really difficult to believe that someone would be attracted to me, that they wouldn’t go for someone who i deem to be “in their league”.
like recently, a friend (16F) told me she used to have a crush on me and so did another one of her friends, and that she thinks im handsome. reason being that i put myself down a lot to my friends and am not very confident with romance or friendships, and i think she was being honest but because she wanted me to feel better.
even with a comment like that, i still couldn’t really believe or understand it.

anyone relate?

DIIV’s pedal board at a 285 Kent show (i’m guessing around 2012

can’t really make these out except the boss tuner and what *might* be a digital delay boss pedal next to that. very cool though, funny to see how minimal they were back in the day

Can I use my 1980s Roland JC-120 for direct input?

Long story short, I really dislike mic-ing up my amp and have been using an amp sim plugin for direct input, but I want to use my Roland JC-120 for that instead.
I haven’t attempted anything because i’m clueless and don’t want to screw it up.
Anyone here know if this can be done? Thanks!

Has anyone heard the claim that Anarchism is colonial?

This video speaks on it here. To be honest it irritated me because she didn’t give much in the way of specific examples, and she both acts like humans are some separate thing from nature and also like we are intertwined with it. As will as this, she talks a lot about the land and not treating it as a commodity, the idea that the land has to be free as well as people. Is this not what a huge portion of anarchists believe as well? I don’t like this video. Would like to hear thoughts though.

Boss Chorus Ensemble or Boss CE-2 Waza Craft?

I’ve joined a band in which i’ll be playing guitar and singing, have been thinking I could use a chorus pedal. Generally I would just use the chorus on my JC-120 for playing and a digital plugin for recording little demos into my daw, but i just figure that for live performance I’ll want a chorus effect as high quality as the one in the JC-120, but with the ability to change the rate and depth and vary it etc.

One option I’ve considered is the Boss CE-2 Waza Craft, as it has both the CE-2 and CE-1 sound, which resemble vintage 80s tones, much like the chorus on my JC-120. It’s my favourite sounding chorus pedal based on what i’ve heard online, but i’m not sure if I can justify the price tag yet.

The chorus ensemble also sounds great to me. Not quite as perfect, but highly good and not something i’d have any issue with. DIIV have been using it in recent live performances, so I can rest assured that it’s reliable and consistent, and it’s also a fair bit cheaper than the Waza CE-2.

So basically, I do really want the Waza CE-2, but it’s a costly investment, and the chorus ensemble seems perfectly serviceable, especially for my first live band. I’d just like to hear opinions on either pedal, whether anyone thinks the chorus ensemble is perhaps better, or the Waza CE-2 just isn’t worth the price.
Thanks!
