Two different papers, very different results
Top is Canon ink jet photo paper. A dried rosemary twig, and an aluminum foil 'snowflake' cutout.
The lower is thick watercolor card that my wife gave me. Leaves and feather.
Turmeric emulsion from the same batch, coated and dried the same day. Exposed side by side for the same amount of time. Until soaked in baking soda/water, there was close to no image on the Ink Jet paper.

Paper
my grandson and I have had some success with anthotypes, 3 prints so far between us lol.
but, I have been coating watercolor paper my wife had and it is too absorbent I think. Blobs of solution soak through, leaving less to drag across and causing blotching.
what paper, or different technique would you recommend?

In the background of a scene or 2 in the Japanese movie The Great War of Archimedes, there are 'conical bundles ' of rope. does anyone know how to store rope in that manner.

Reduce sensitivity of motion detection
Very long story short.
I need to reduce the sensitivity of a motion detecting light that is positioned outdoors at a step near my front door. I think motion of nearby plants sets it off a lot and the rechargeable battery doesn't last.
I have only tried once with some gaffers tape to block part of the faceted plastic dome which did not seem to help. Can I coat/paint the dome with something? Try again with tape or aluminum foil?
