temperatures allowed it so i threw a couple casts. (3rd pic is water temp)

1, suspected cut-bow based on features but no way to be 100% sure.

2, a less suspected cut-bow, hopefully there is still some pure cutthroats left in this small system.

ultralight catfishing is such a privilege to have in Canada.

started a lil fin notching program to survey the fish and holy smokes there is a established population of average 9-10” brown bullheads.
also nice catching a fish you’ve previously caught before.

swimbaiting for naturally reproducing crappie then this dude slams it on the ultralight!

Fishing rivers for salmon?

Not mentioning where out of respect for the spot but if I’m planning to fish a faster running river that’s mainly floats and twitching jigs what rod reel / line setup would be ideal?

I have a 3000 spooled with 25lb for twitching jigs and lures paired with a 7ft med.

Then I have a 4000 I’m planning to spool with 25lb and throw it on a 8-10ft rod.

Just checking in from canada, sadly this is a big cat here. They are invasive but this is a cat and crappie lake so it was released.

Brown bullhead. We don’t have established channels or flats thankfully.
