Paying for CNBC+
Just when I thought my opinion of CNBC and their customer service couldn’t get any lower, they managed to surprise me. After canceling DirecTV, I realized I missed having CNBC on in the background, so I figured their $50 per year option was a reasonable deal. I reached out to them (see my email labeled “Mine”), and their response was incredibly disappointing. If that’s their attitude, Bloomberg—especially considering it’s free—is just as good, if not better.
Mine:
"I canceled my DirecTV MyNews subscription because the price is increasing again, and I miss having CNBC on in the background while I work. I found your $99-per-year subscription, and I was told there’s a discount code, CNBC50, that should take 50% off the first year and bring the price down to about $50 plus tax, but it isn’t working when I try to sign up and pay. Could you please help me apply that discount or provide another code?"
CNBC response:
