Minesweeperonline Season Quests

I guess I'm not a high enough rank to not keep getting these quests, but are they completely random? Or is there actually a point where you stop getting such turgid beginner quests?

I know I could replace it, but also why should I. I'm trying to actually get good at the game, there's no real challenge in doing this quest other than the sheer force of will it would take to play enough games to get 35 in a row.

Spider story

A few years ago Blindboy told a story about a guy with the nickname Spider on his podcast, apparently around 2008 he told some band on Myspace that he had booked them a tour around Ireland, they showed up at some nightclub in Limerick and realised that Spider had just been bullshitting them.

Did anyone ever figure out who the band was? I have a vague feeling I know who would have done something like that but curious if anyone remembers hearing about it.
