Earlier this month, an engineered virus created by LOM BABY named "t-Virus" after the fictional bioweapon from the Resident Evil franchise broke out in Tokyo, Japan. Major symptoms include: fever, headaches, rashes, pale skin, cataracts, hallucinations, aggression, polyphagia, seizures, aphasia, and necrosis. It is mainly transmitted through saliva and bodily fluids, however waterborne transmission is theoretically possible. Unlike the fictional t-Virus, LOM BABY's t-Virus can only infect mammals, suggesting a possible relation to rabies virus. Capcom, creators of the Resident Evil franchise, have not spoken publicly about the situation, and members of LOM BABY involved with the creation of the t-Virus have been designated as biological terrorists.

The recent cannibal homicides in City 13 were just discovered to have been caused by a mutagenic and unstable virus with regenerative properties. This virus, which has been named Human-Combine Perfurovirus, causes seizures, hemorrhaging of the eyes, throat, mouth, and nose, hallucinations, psychosis, pallor, polyphagia, a constant urge to consume uninfected humans, and continued motor and neurological function even after most other systems have ceased functioning. The initial method of transmission is unknown, but most instances of human-to-human, human-to-transhuman, and transhuman-to-human transmission were via bites and scratches. City 13 is currently quarantined, and likely to be amputated. The rest of Sector 13 (Formerly France and Belgium) is on high alert and preparing for potential outbreaks.

Several citizens of City 13 were murdered and cannibalized for no apparent reason. The murderers all appear to be suffering from corneal clouding, cataracts, frequent bleeding from the nose and mouth, and violent spasms. If you encounter someone who shares these symptoms, avoid them and report them to your nearest Civil Protection officer. Due to these murders taking place after a Quarantine Zone breach and the symptoms the murderers have in common, paranoid citizens believe that the violence was caused by an extraterrestrial pathogen. All trains to and from City 13 have been stopped, and all shipments from City 13 have been cancelled.
