Aria fruit, a first for me, is one for the ages.
1.39 lbs 18.9 Brix score and a very earthy, berry-like flavor. Here are the pictures of the bud, to fruit in reverse (table to bud). It was very tasty! 🤙🏾

Pollinated with Juneau under the full moon last night.
Cross pollinated with Juneau SS tonight. I'm almost using Reddit as a journal that allows me to not forget, I'm not getting any younger, what pollen I'm using on which flowers. I've been labeling the prom below the flower with the pollen I used. What other methods do you all use to track what pollen you all use for which plants? Thanks in advance 🤙🏾
Cross pollinated with Juneau, here hoping she sets some nice fruit. 🤞🏾
I missed a bloom of about 7+ flowers a few nights ago, so I'm excited to get out and pollinate these beauties.
Two picturesque blooms from the self sterile variety, Aria, created on Kauai in 2023 and gifted to me last year. I'd have to say it's the most beautiful flower I own.
My plumeria tree served a great purpose today. I was able to make my first lei for my daughter's Pre-K graduation. My wife had to teach me how to make them, after a flower or two, I was on my way. 🤙🏾
I have about 30 different varieties of dragon fruit in my yard and there will be so many firsts since I started this journey about 3 years ago. Tonight it's Sugar Dragon and it's a beautiful flower. I cross pollinated it with Sin Espiñas pollen and I happily extracted the pollen for it because I know it's pollen is one of the few 'universal' pollen types. I took more time to extract as much pollen as I could. I have 3 more buds that will open in the coming days. I'm beyond excited and it's hard to find circles that share the same excitement for dragon fruit as this subreddit. Thanks y'all 🤙🏾 I appreciate it!
Side note, the trellis is housed on has, Sugar Dragon, Sin Espiñas, Sour Patch Kids and Robles Red on it. It's never a dull night on that trellis.
This is a first for my little collection. I'm going to pollinate them tonight, is just after 2 am. They look great, can't wait until they fruit. Wish me luck
It's my first one from this variety and I'm excited to catch this bloom. I'm just excited to be here, not gonna lie. I saw her opening up earlier in the night and grabbed a picture. Insomnia did it's thing on me, do I'm up like it's the first day of school with my told ready to pollinate and take the pollen from this beauty. Oahu, Hawaii 🤙🏾
Mo'o and his plant helping to keep the thrips and ants away.
*Sin Espiñas (no thorns)
Arias in the back, DK-16 in the front. I'm getting so much pollen and I'm thankful.
I pollinated the Palora and the Arias flowers with one another tonight. Trying to salvage what's left after they fell over after a flash flood yesterday in Hawai'i. Here's hoping I get great fruit from it 🤙🏾
I made this with a lot of reading from the reddit and I'm just trying to continue down the right path, what do you all recommend next? Thin out the plants in the middle? TIA
