Only polychromos

I just discovered this subreddit, it's so cool, and there's more than only cozy books stuff (no offense).

3D Isometric/voxel style

Hey,

For my second drawing, I tried to make something that looks a bit like the game Terra Nil. I really like the isometric 3D/voxel style, so I think I’m going to keep working in that style and improve it over time. I’m disappointed with the paper rendering though — I bought it two days ago, but it’s too fragile, doesn’t handle enough layers, and leaves a visible texture that I don’t really like.

Have a nice day 😊

Woomer vs Polychromos

Hi, i recently received the Woomer pencils and just tried them on one of my drawing. I use 160gsm Canson paper. I m a polychromos user, and this is the first time i ve switched to another brand of pencils.

The Woomers are softer/oilier but they also saturate much faster, and without a blender the result really dosen’t look very good. However, once i use a blender, i find the result gorgeous, even nicer than with the polychromos, which barely change when using a blender.

The value for money is really good, but for me they’re unusable without a blender on the paper i use. Another positive point is that they don’t smudge when i rest my hand on the drawing, unlike the Polychromos.

It’s a different way of working with colored pencils, and i actually enjoy having to use a blender. It gives a different way of controlling the final result
