What I do to keep my Momcozy W1 running like new (2 months in)

No affiliation, just use mine for every pump. I’m almost two months in and suction/noise are still pretty much the same as day one. A few things I learned the hard way:

Take apart everything silicone right after pumping. Flanges, valves, all the removable pieces. I soak them in warm water with baby bottle soap for about 2 minutes, then gently wipe with a soft cloth. Don’t use stiff brushes. They scratch the silicone, and then milk residue builds up in the scratches. Did that once, never again.

After washing, put them upside down to air dry somewhere with good airflow. Keep them out of direct sunlight. I left mine in the sun once and the silicone got sticky. 0/10.

Steam sanitize once a week, 3 minutes max. If you boil, keep it under 5 minutes. Too much heat seems to make the silicone age and deform faster.

Don’t submerge the motor. Just wipe milk splatters with a damp cotton wipe. Also check the little filter at the air intake every so often. If it gets clogged, suction drops. And try not to pump while charging if you can avoid it. It helps the battery last longer.

One more thing: silicone parts are consumables. Once they turn sticky or cloudy, replace them. Don’t keep using worn-out parts. Store the flanges so they don’t get squished, and keep the main unit in a dry spot.

With all that, mine has stayed pretty consistent. Anyone else have tips that actually make a difference? Especially for pumping at work.

Abandoned checkouts are killing me - what works nowadays?

I run a DTC brand in the US and watching people get all the way to checkout then bounce is painful. Feels like I did everything right and they still dip at the last step...

To fix this I started with basic shopify emails, then moved to klaviyo which helped for a bit, but lately it’s feeling mid again, especially on bigger carts. People just seem to ignore the emails now.

Anyone found something that actually works better? Phone / AI voice follow-ups, WhatsApp, faster triggers, or is the answer just refining email + SMS and fixing ALL of the possible checkout friction??

Seen a few options floating around here on reddit (heavier klaviyo or omnisend flows, some of the newer AI callers like callsy, ringly, outcraft etc) but hard to tell what’s real. Also heard some stores got pushback because customers didn’t like getting an AI call instead of a real person, so I’m mixed on that. Anyone using "magic" tools or shopify apps like this with a good ROI?

What’s your current setup and what’s converting for you? NO PROMOS ONLY REAL EXPIREINCE WITH NUMBERS PLEASE!

the tiny floating buildings keep stealing my attention

Everyone notices the world tree in the Ragnarok: Yggdrasil art. I keep zooming in on the tiny floating buildings around it. They make the picture feel like the world continues beyond the center, and I want to know who lives that far from the ground. I like that the background gives me somewhere else to look.

What it's like to use a jovs 6d laser & ems mask

One thing to note: the 6d mask has a laser-only mode, but no ems-only mode. When I use the ems lifting mode, the light therapy is on at the same time.

After using the 6d mask, I noticed some temporary marks from the ems electrodes, but they faded within about 20 minutes. My face also looked slightly slimmer, with a bit more definition around the contours. I used the lowest ems setting, so the stimulation didn't feel intense at all.

I had no idea you need to size your own breast pump flanges until I ended up with bleeding, bruised nipples.

It was only my third day postpartum, and my breast pump had already left me totally defeated. After every pumping session, my nipples turned dark purple and throbbed with even the lightest touch. To make matters worse, my milk supply kept dropping — staring at that measly 30ml in the bottle, I couldn’t hold back tears. Even the lowest suction setting didn’t help; my nipples still swelled up like little strawberries.

I couldn’t take it anymore. In the middle of the night, I took a photo and ranted about it in my mom group. A second-time mom spotted the problem immediately: “Is your flange too big? It looks like your areola’s getting pulled right in with your nipple.”

That’s when it hit me: the default flange that comes with the pump doesn’t fit everyone.

She told me to measure the base of my nipple — just the nipple, not the areola. Mine was 17mm, and the stock flange was 24mm. That’s a whole 7mm too big!

I switched to a 19mm flange right away. After my first pump with it, my nipples were only faintly pink, and the redness faded in minutes. By the next day, my supply bounced back to 60ml. Looking back, it still upsets me how close I came to giving up on breastfeeding entirely.

A quick tip for all the mamas out there: take two minutes to measure yourself.

Add 2–4mm to the diameter of your nipple base (add 1–2mm if you measure right after nursing or pumping).

You know you’ve got the right size when:

Your nipple glides freely inside the flange tunnel without rubbing

Most of your areola stays outside the flange (doesn’t get pulled in heavily)

Your nipple doesn’t look misshapen or pale white after pumping

Don’t just tough it out. It’s really not worth it.
