Only 1/3 still has its roots 🥲

When should I water this haworthia? I got three in the mail August 3rd. They came bare root so I put them in chunky soil and sat them in a good spot for adjusting. After about a week I noticed them shrinking in size/wrinkling so I bottom watered them. 2/3 lost their roots, I scraped off their soggy bottoms and have them sitting on top of dry chunky mix.
I think this one in particular may have gotten less water/had a healthier root system because when I checked its bottom it still had its main root that it had when I potted it and has started growing two new nubs. I included a “drawing” of what I saw when I checked its roots. Its main root was curled around horizontally (that’s how it was when I got it too) and not really going downward. The two new nubs kind of had it lifted off the soil a little bit before I took it out the make sure it wasn’t rotting as well.
It’s been wrinkly since it got it and just keeps getting more so. Would it be safe to water it? Should I give it just a little instead of bottom watering? Should I wait to water?
Pots are 3 inch succulent pots from repotme.com, I can change them if that is my issue, though I do really love the look.
Also threw in some pictures of my rootless babies 👶 pray they put out new roots pls

Edit because I got the time frame wrong

Blooms after one month!

I got these exactly 35 days ago. They’re rewarding me greatly. The Vampyr jubilee is the one currently blooming but I think I see flowers growing on my copper penny as well!!! Jubilee has so many popping up, I am so excited 👹 I also have a madam Adam’s, but she had an accident and is in recovery and I’m really hoping she pulls through.
I’m into the “weird” African violets. if you know of one that is mini/semi miniature pleaseeee bring it to my attention I’m looking to add one more to my collection <3

Edit for typo

How’s my ping?

Hello! About a week ago I got my first pinguicula in the mail, a ‘Florian’. I potted it with substrate purchased alongside the plant from curious plant, into a little self watering plastic pot I had. I’ve had it out of direct light and in a makeshift plastic bag. The ‘bag’ has been fully open for a full day. Is it ready to be moved to my plant shelf? Do I have to acclimate it to the lighting on my plant shelf? I have two “Barrina T5 10W LED Grow Lights 2FT 5000K | Full Spectrum, Magnetic & Linkable | NF10”
Should I leave the bag around it during this process or it is ready to start acclimating without it?
Sorry for all the questions, i want to make sure the little guy is settling okay <3 thank you!

Picture 1 is from when I first planted it and the rest are from today. I’m concerned that some of the lower leaves have flattened out but the other side is still “cupped”.

Edit to add that my plant shelf is also next to a southeast, but more east, facing window.

Can I pot into this?

Hiiii! I got my African violets about a month ago and I come seeking more guidance. I purchased these pots and I think my eyes are playing tricks on me, they look like they would be too big but when I put the plant into the potting area there isn’t much space left around the 2 inch square pot. I would love if I could plant into this pot but would get a smaller size if you guys think I should.
I’ve tried to take the best pictures I can. The violets going into this size would be Wesley’s Vampyr jubilee and Copper Penny. The Vampyr jubilee is currently growing flowers and has a couple roots coming out of the bottom of the container. The copper penny has roots to the bottom but not coming out. Neither have walls completely covered in roots.
Also, if you can see anything you might have advice on you can throw it in there, I am all ears.
The Wesley’s madam Adams went through a crazy catastrophe 😭😭 I know it looks rough, I’m just happy it’s still trying to live.

Edit: the purple ones said the planting area measure 2.25 inches. I originally purchased the smaller ones for the madam Adam’s and a tiny pinguicula I have.

Am I doing something wrong or should I chill?

I’m worried they’re getting too much water and not enough light. I got them almost two weeks ago, put them into self watering containers that have wicks. I’ve fertilized them once with 3 drops of shultz in 500 ml of distilled water. I used an African violet soil and added extra perlite as someone recommended I would need in a previous post. The soil has been damp this whole time. I fill the reservoir with distilled water only. They sit in an eastern facing window that is kind of blocked in the early morning. I put a grow light on them to take these pictures. The last two pictures are from when I first got them. I’m concerned that the leaves on some aren’t as dark as when they first arrived. Also, some came with damaged leaves, is it safe to take those off? Thank you for helping!

Help me decide

This is my first “string of” plant so I figured I could come ask people who already own them/something similar. I’m trying to decide which outer pot to pick. I know it will grow and won’t be able to stay in this pot forever (which makes me a little sad) but I still can’t decide. My plant is currently in a 2.5 inch plastic pot. Thank you! :)

  1. 5.5"D x 3"W x 3.5"H
  2. 7.08"D x 5.51"W x 5.11"H
  3. 5 5/8" W x 4 3/4" D x 3 1/2" H

Just got this in the mail yesterday

The little crusty one came that way. They were in the mail for four days and arrived with completely dry soil so I went ahead and repotted, succulent mix soil, added extra perlite and a couple pieces of bark into 3 inch repotme succulent pots. I confess, I did not inspect the roots at all. It wasn’t until after I repotted it and was getting it on the shelf that I saw a teeny tiny white bug crawling on the plant. I immediately took it and the other plant that came in the same box to be cleaned with 70% alcohol. I put them in a different spot than the rest of my plants. I haven’t had them in direct sunlight at all. I would really like to be able to save this plant, I was super excited to add one to my collection. Should I tear off the crusty bit? Any and all advice welcome <3 thank you

Curious about my pot

Could I plant lithops in this and they not hate me? Morton’s salt for size reference.
I would like to put a plant in here that kind of matches the pot lol

Edit: it’s about 5 inches across

Littles have arrived

I posted a few days ago about how I ordered an african violet, asking questions and being excited. I got really helpful comments so thank you to all.
Well, one turned into two and when I opened the package there were three :]
Left to right: Wesley’s Copper Penny, Wesley’s Madam Adams, Wesley’s Vampyr Jubilee.
Madam Adams was such an unexpected surprise, I am delighted.

Is the little plastic pot pictured in the last photo a good size for all three? I plan to repot after they acclimate.

Ordered a tiny African violet

I purchased this little guy recently and plan on getting the soil and fertilizer shown in the pictures. Should I also get a mini clear self watering pot for it? Would it be best to leave it in its little cup for a couple days or repot immediately upon arrival? If the plant itself is 2 inches does that mean I need to acquire a 1 inch container? Did I buy a plant too small to survive mailing? Should I wait until it gets here and post again? Sorry, I am really excited! It’s so itty bitty 🥹 so cute ☺️

I feel like it’s missing something

Hi allll! This is my first attempt at painting a binder. I had to do many layers, so much that it looks slightly reflective 😅 I haven’t done the matte sealant yet because I feel like it looks unfinished… any tips and/or criticism is welcome, please and thank you <3

Is there anything I can do to keep this alive????

I purchased this plant as a little bitty, three leaf having, baby in a tiny plastic cup. She grew and became beautiful, unlike the other plant purchased at the same time. I have since moved and I don’t have the same window set up anymore, or the green house feeling that comes with living in really old houses with just a couple of window a/c units. I’ve been in my new place about a year, she was doing okay, but I noticed her vines starting to turn a little yellow… recently I put her in a bigger pot because all the leaves were making it hard for me to water her. It’s terracotta, it accumulated white powder on the pot so I put it outside to try and help dry up the soil. Vines are still yellowing. I don’t know what to do. Is it possible to keep her and her be happy again? Please help meeee

Why does my electrical breaker keep tripping?

This happened once when we first moved and just now twice in the same day! I’m using just one eye on the stove, the kitchen light goes out, but none of the appliances. Also, the WiFi outlet on the counter will go out as well as my bathroom and bedroom…?? Which are on the other end of my apartment from the kitchen. The breaker switch is labeled bedroom.
