Odd smell from fans

Hi everyone,

I bought my Polestar 2 a couple of months ago (second hand, early 2023 LRSM model). I've been loving it so far, but one issue I have noticed is that when I initially get in and the fans come on, there is a bit of a musty/sour smell that comes through until the AC kicks in, then it is fine.

It isn't a smell that is present in the car without the fans on, and does clear up quite quickly once AC kicks in (within a minute or two). I have also replaced the cabin air filter but that doesn't seem to have changed anything.

Has anyone experienced the same and know how to get rid of it?

OM-3 Colour Wheel Questions

Hey everyone,

I've got a question for anyone who has, or previously had, the OM-3, and has also had, or previously had, a Fujifilm camera. I was wondering if there are any looks to SOOC JPGs that you were able to achieve on Fujifilm with their film simulations that you haven't been able to achieve on SOOC JPGs from the OM-3 with the adjustments available in the colour options with colour wheel, tone curve, and WB adjustments?

Moving front fence?

Hi everyone

Quick question regarding front fences/boundaries and planning.

The pictures show our current front fence and its position to the side of our house and relative to pavement (just in front of small shrubs on right of first pic). As you can see it starts flush with front of the house, then advances forward at an angle before joining up with next doors boundary fence which goes all the way to pavement. Next doors fence doesn’t go across the front of their house though.

My question is whether we are able to advance the front fence without planning? I know we can’t move it to the boundary with the pavement, but I was wondering if we could move it about 3-4 feet forward (basically in front of the trees and where the grass starts)?

TIA!

Edit to add: the front fence has jutted forward like that since the house was built in 2011, so presume the current position is not in breach of any planning

Software update 5.0.10

Hi everyone

I bought my polestar 2 second hand at the end of May, and it doesn’t seem to have been updated to latest version, and it doesn’t seem to be available when I check for updates. Is it still being phased out or is there anything else I can do to get the update?

TIA

Polestar 2 Used battery check

Hi everyone

I’m taking a plunge into the EV world this week and going to look at a used Polestar 2 2023 LRSM to buy. It has just over 40,000 miles on the clock.

The garage that I’m going to that has the car has really great reviews, is offering a comprehensive 12 month warranty (I have checked the terms, it seems to cover everything I would expect) which I’m going to try and extend to two years so it matches buying used from polestar.

The only issue I have at the moment is the garage don’t seem to have a battery health check - and not just for this one but for their other EVs too. I’m going to ask in person when I view the car if they have it (I know some don’t put it in the ads), but if they don’t is turning off dynamic range and calculating the current battery charge percent to estimated range an ok substitute?

Thanks in advance!
