Descriptive titles or evocative? which performs better on Steam?

Do descriptive titles genuinely help with Steam search and discoverability, or do evocative titles win in the long run thanks to stronger brand identity?

Have you noticed a meaningful difference in wishlist conversions or organic discovery depending on which route you took? Does the genre matter?

Would love to hear what you've seen or experienced.

My wife and I have been working for the past few months on Pharaoh's Secrets, a relaxing low poly 3D spot-the-difference game set in Ancient Egypt. What do you think?

Any feedback or advice is more than welcome!

We’re a two-person team working on a 3D spot-the-difference game set in Ancient Egypt. Think of classic hidden object puzzles, but completely recreated in 3D environments.

During Steam’s Hidden Object Fest, things were looking good: we were getting between 40 and 50 wishlist adds per day. It wasn’t spectacular, but it was a good start. Then the festival ended, and everything fell apart. Since then, we’ve had almost no traffic or new wishlist adds.

We knew the festival would give us a boost in visibility, but we didn’t expect the drop to be so steep or so fast.

The problem is that, honestly, we don’t know what to do next. Outside of Steam events, we’re not sure where or how to reach people who might like a game like this. We’ve experimented a bit with Instagram and TikTok, but given how niche the genre is, it hasn’t been very successful.

Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks!
