17 week old standard poodle

Hi! I have this little fella going into the groomer for the first time on this upcoming Tuesday. I have 0 clue on how to have him trimmed up. Hes nearing 4 months old. Does anyone have puppy pictures to share with ideas that worked for their young pup? Having longer hair isn't a huge bother as I will continue daily brushing and combing as practice for him anyway, but not set on any style. Just curious what has worked for others and what styles could be cute also.

This puppers, now lovingly named Rudolph "Rudy" Archibald, has literally fallen asleep awaiting fecal exam results. 😂 Thinking I picked the right baby for me.

15 weeks, standard poods

Older brothers names are: Griffin Beck and Arlo Maverick. He's a standard poodle pup.

Apologies for my awful photography skills. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Trust me, he's a cutie and he fell INSTANTLY in love with his older 78lb mostly poodle golden doodle brother. They even "wrestled" outside for a few seconds. My other standard finds the little guy to be suspicious at best, but also he is fascinated. 😂

I'm not a father, but every day is special with these two. 🥰 Hope you dads out there are spending the day doing whatever makes you happy too! From Arlo (spoo), Griffin (almost spoo) and me!

Both fellas were adopted via rescues and are exactly what I expected. I did find the health information interesting and glad to know that the breeds the rescues stated, as well as my observations, were accurate. I also found my purebred's littermate. ☺️

My little "I don't know what color I want to be" lamb look alike has knocked out so hard from playing today that I was able to go to the bathroom and come back to sit down without him waking up.

Literally forgot what it was like not being stared at the moment I walk out from behind a closed door. 😂

Also, I still have 0 clue what coat color this dude is. It changes every week and he's nearly 6 years old. It's pretty awesome.

Also, if any of you have ideas for what hair cuts may look cool for this guy, let me know. No issues taking care of frequent grooming/brushing.

I am pretty sure of each of their breeds, even though they were both rescues. I'm interested in knowing if their breeds are what I expect, but also the health aspect of the embark test. I recently lost a dog unexpectedly and wish I would have known more things to look out for. Has anyone found value in the health information provided with the embark tests?

Hi! I adopted this fella just over a week ago. I don't know much about poodle coat type so I was curious about him. At first I thought he was just needing a bath, but after having him I realized he just has random darker spots on his hair. He has black nails but a brown nose and I've never seen that before. I'm not sure it makes much of a difference but if there are things to watch out for because of his coat/skin color, please let me know that too! Thanks in advance for your input. ☺️
