Rawhide laces

Guarded Goods and Cobbler's Choice.

Is one better than the other or are they the same? Guarded is $2 more. I've only used Nicks rawhides so far. I like them but they're currently out of black. Thanks.

New boots

W&C vachetta, no mention of colour, looks like bone or crust leather to me. Regardless, this pair had me at hello. They certainly stick out like soar thumbs right now but putting in the hours and seeing them change will be so worth it. Before anyone says it, I don't do the dome.

Huge thanks to Shuyler. I appreciate you and the entire Nicks crew.

Whites 690-L

What does the L stand for?

There was a packer boot on their closeout page in my size that I didn't need and kept looking at. The last was listed as 690-L, not just 690, I first thought it meant lady but the boot wasn't listed as a Lady Packer.

Nicks Stationmaster, 9.5D, $475

12", HNW.

Black CXL, clicking is about as good as it gets, structured toe, I added one hole to each strap. As much as I wanted these boots to work out, the shafts are too wide.

$475 USD, PP F&F, original box included.

Located near Toronto but will ship from NY State.

Stationmaster shaft question

This is from BOTL this week. Good looking boot.

My eyes could be deceiving me but the shaft looks narrow. Has Nicks changed the pattern or is this a custom upper?

My one complaint with my own Stationmaster is the shaft opening is too wide.

I have the black/yellow G10 salt model with black hardware. I ordered micarta skinny scales and would rather have titanium or steel hardware. Does anyone make screw sets?

I'm also getting a Lynch deep carry clip. Long probably looks better. Has anyone tried both long and standard clips? How do they feel in hand?

Thanks.
