I crunched the #s and I paid a C$12.35 premium on this 2001 Micra compared to buying a modern black Micra on Amazon… reluctant to bust open the bubble wrap ha fack
For the culture.
So sleek 😎.. clip & screws safely stored in inventory for now
Doing some touchups on a 2001 Bianchi Pista frame.. scraped out the veins without scraping off the original logos / decals.. planning on rust converting / hoping it will neutralize & freeze the rust vein under the logos before 2k primer paint & clear (gonna bring the fork into a body shop to get the color matched).. any advice appreciated.. I know there are aftermarket decals available but was hoping to preserve the originals as they are screen printed or painted.. any advice welcome.. thx
Came in handy on my 008 CRUNCH — bit holder was swinging loose when scalpel was locked.. all it took was a lil tightening 👍🏻😎… seen a lot of complaints about the blade coming loose when bit driver was locked so thought I’d share.. made before/after videos, but too lazy to figure out how to post now lol
Spent my entire evening last night putting my special commerative Cdn coins in flips based off of Gemini’s quotes on $ value above face value per coin… after 5 hrs sorting, stamping, stapling, plier pinch flattening staples it subsequently tells me it was hallucinating & that since all my coins are BARELY circulated they are all only ever going to be worth face value 😾 LOL.. some waitresses will be getting some rather interesting flipped tips in the near future… please find a few pics of my nearly worthless hoard attached. Thx
Ya she’s hot.. not hot enough to risk half my net worth in pliers though!!
Shout out to u/collectir for the heads up on the re-stock — got the last one in Canada! 👊🏻
Also happy I have a bunch of #24 scalpels from aliChina that fit perfectly 👍🏻
Will be my 7th LM & first ever LEATHERMAN micra.. Apparently enthusiasts chase these pre-2004 models because they use the original, superior, tighter manufacturing specs, smooth pivots, and the glossy black painted finish. Saw this pop up & ran the #s against the cost of a new mass-produced modern micra. The all-in diff was literally C$12.35. For a flawless 2001 transitional time-capsule piece versus modern matte Cerakote, there was just something about that superior vintage aesthetic. Felt my only option was to pull the trigger 🖤
Picked up a LM squirt ps4 a couple years back for a great deal on eBay.. decided it was almost too nice & bought another one I actually use.. picked up a spare scissor repair upgrade kit given the complaints regarding its weakness - so far so good but better to have a spare in inventory & not need it than to need it & not have it…
PIC #3: not LM but for my SAK 58mm Rambler build I got a Etsy magnacut blade from the kiet seller I see lots of posts here mention - recommend for sure if you’re looking to magnacut your LM.. took long to ship but blade so sharp - literally 10x the stock SAK 58mm blade.
Coin guy.. don’t know much about notes except this is a RADAR.. I could’ve had a crisp 100$ one 2 years ago too if I had taken out one more $100 bill.. this 5$ is pretty tattered…
Just ordered a micra on Amazon.. reading reviews if I receive one with the white lettering vs the engraved one in ad I’m 100% sending back. Tbh I don’t need another LM (have black oxide rebar + st300, OG arc, & two black squirt ps4).. this was an impulse purchase as I liked the engraved one / why not but honestly that white stamp/paint looks like dog shiett in comparison + already have a Vic rambler SAK as my keychain tool ha
