So back in March I got a new to me 2024 g26. It had right at 44k miles and I’m about to hit 49k. I’m about to do my first oil change on it myself. I’ve got a liqui moly change kit on the way.

Right now I’m trying to figure out the best way to get it up. It’s stock height but the front lip makes it a bit low so the harbor freight ramps I bought won’t allow it to roll up without the lip hitting first.

I also have some jack stands and the appropriate stand adapters.

The car is stock other than an intake I put on, and some changes I’ve done with bimmercode. It had a new water pump installed under warranty not too too long ago because they had noticed it was leaking.

I’ve not had any problems with the car knock on wood and plan to do most of the stuff myself.

So what process do I need to do to reset my oil / maintenance stuff in idrive8? Is there anything else I need to change or update in the system when I do the oil change?

I’m nearing 50k miles. Are there other maintenance items I should be starting to look at or need to do at this time??

I also purchase a cabin filter as my air when it turns on is not super fresh smelling. Any information would be great.

The first time I ordered I didn’t spend much but I. The mail got a lot more than expected. I got all kinds of samples. Stickers. Candy. Packs of cones etc in addition to what I ordered. I was wowed and felt much appreciation as a customer. It arrived super duper quick in 2 days.

I decided to order again recently and did a bigger order this time. It came and it was just my order. Nothing special in the box. It’s fine as my order was correct and was exactly as expected. It also took a week this time. Has something changed lately? Or was just the first time due to being a new customer?

Just I feel like I maybe lied to others recently that I passed the word to about how awesome my first order and how appreciated I felt. This time almost like just another order. A quick box and sit and get it when they get it. 🤷‍♂️. Oh well. I still love HCF. Just curious.

Has anyone used bimmercode to change the instrument cluster and start up image etc?
I can’t find the option to on mine when go into it.

I got bimmercode mainly to change my dash stuff and bower and Wilkins. Well I found bower and Wilkins and my car start up mode but I don’t have any instrument cluster stuff to be able to change. I wanted to move the speedo mph up and maybe startup image etc.

I know it said this happens with 2025+ but why can’t I find these? Is it maybe I need to look in expert mode?? Right now I feel like I wasted 50$ for not getting what all I wanted that it said it will do for mine. 🤷‍♂️.

So yesterday I played chase on the interstate with a new M3 or M4...i dont remember which right off but honestly they werent fully giving the beans or something as I was on its tail and pulling in. Anyway, about 117 a big red car came on the screen and then went away after a second. I dont recall any words and no other things happened or messages. What was this? Did I win ??

I’ve got some play funds and enough for a quickjack 6000elx but it would take most of my funds I have set away for goodies. I’d really like one but I’d rather do mods.

I have like 5 regular style jack stands and a decent jack. It’s not a super low profile one but will prob work fine.

Should I invest in some kind of adapters that will fit my u shape topped jack stands or should I just grab some that are like the flat top ones?

What process are you all using? I’ve got a DP given to me and I need to do an oil change soon as well as maybe some other maintenance as I just passed a little over 46k.

I found a quick jack local for a good deal but found out its max spread was 60”. The g26 is more spread for its lifting points.

I have a bunch of jack stands but not sure exactly if I want to fool with jack and stands when I could lift quickly using something like a QuickJack.

Post up pics and specs of your most aggressive wheel and tire fitments. (post if you are awd or rwd).

Went to dealer after 1.5 months of ownership cause I noticed a weird wearing rear brake thing. Had another issue looked at fixed while I was there too for a wind whistle.

What I didn’t expect to get today was a new water pump under warranty. My new to me 45k mile apparently had a leak I did not know about.

Oh well. That’s done for now at least.

On a G26. 🤷‍♂️ don’t know if it’s possible or not.

I’ve seen a lot of pics with cars with the LcI curved screen and idrive 8 etc that have ambient lighting in their center vent area. Is my 2024 with idrive 8 and curved screen supposed to have that??

So I went to a local bmw show yesterday and the majority were full on M cars and now I feel poor. lol.

I love my car and wanted the B58 etc but now mine just looks plain and boring. lol. 😭😭
