COMMON SOURCE OF MOD BURNOUT: one user reports the same guy every morning, I report him as report abuse, and it just keeps going

I've told them to just block the guy, but this mysterious user just keeps reporting for no reason

I'd very much like their ability to make false reports taken away

I go to https://www.reddit.com/report every time and report it, and every morning he is still doing this.

These reports should be taken a lot more seriously. I don't expect much, but when I report a dozen instances of report-abuse I want something done about it.

A lot of real good super experienced mods overlook this one

On browser, if you go to a link like this, or replace "newmods" with the name of your sub, it will take you to a list of every comment coming through from newest to oldest https://www.reddit.com/r/NewMods/comments/

This is a supertool. On established subs you'll catch the wackiest things happening on old posts this way. On new subs you'll be able to check one page to see everything that has come through.

It's especially powerful for maintaining a presence in the subreddit you moderate.

This will take to you right to where the conversation is happening. If there's a fire to put out you'll see it before anyone else does, if there's a question in the wrong place you'll be there to answer it or redirect them on where to ask, if there's a really good comment you can be there to say "hey this would make a great post."

I'd be completely lost without it in the subreddits I help run.

Also if you can mention where you heard what you know that'd be super helpful.

I don't keep up with all the press and podcasts but I've always said I'd pre-order an actual book if they came out with one.
