How to run Ethernet cable from this mark to the doorbell?

How to run Ethernet cable from this mark to the doorbell?

I have a cat6 cable at the ceiling where I marked it with Green. I want to run it to the doorbell. Any suggestions?

This wall is a stucco over Cinder block. The wire was there for al camera but I want to run it to the doorbell.

I'm thinking of using a DLine Micro+ Raceway but want to check here for any other suggestions. Thank you!

Edit: this is a 2 story house with no basement. Located in Florida

What anchors to use on a CMU Block wall?

Hey all,

I recently purchased a Garden Hose reel by Giraffe Tools that comes with a metal bracket. I thought it would be a straight forward installation. Instead I'm running into very conflicting information.

Please see the photos. According to the provided instructions manual, I can use the bolt and anchors provided in the box.

But, their website instructions contradict that. The website states not to use the provided anchors. They mentioned heavy duty expansion anchors in the concrete wall.

Can someone please help me understand what type of anchors to buy? I prefer using the provided bolts. Attached an image showing the provided bolt and anchor.

This is a CMU Block wall.

Thank you!

Doorbell Lite vs G6 Entry?

Which one is the best for residential use?

I'm fine spending the additional money for G6 Entry if it's worth it.

I'm hearing mixed reviews that it may require the access hub to get some of the features, not sure what it is though.

Looking for some suggestions on why you choose one over the other. One thing I don't like is the lack of package tracking on the Lite. I'm fine with the FOV.

I want to primarily use it as a Doorbell with a Chime and possibly some automations in Home assistant.

Best way to port 6 lines to FI and maximize savings

I have 6 lines with T-Mobile. I would like to port all my lines to FI.

What is the best way to do it considering the following:

  1. I would like to take advantage of the Pixel 11 launch offers.

  2. Is there a way I can get the 75% off for all lines?

I understand that each line has its own email. But I still don't understand how I can be the main account and get the multi line discount.

At the end of the day, my goal is the maximize savings one way of the other.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Claude Code is amazing for Dashboards!

I started my HA journey just around 3 weeks ago.

My goal is to automate most of the things so they 'just work'. But I do need a dashboard to quickly take a glance at things.

I just wanted to see how Claude code works, but it's genuinely impressive. This dashboard was built entirely using Claude. While this looks great, I need to learn how I can tinker with the dashboard without Claude's help, but that's a big learning curve which will take some time.

Overall very happy with the dashboard. The rooms expand to give more controls. There is a Nav bar at the bottom for even more granular controls.

We did it! Tampa FL, 830k, 6.125

Finally!! It's been a long wait. Closed a few weeks ago! Located in Zephyrhills FL.

Edit: I see a lot of you mentioned Zephyrhills is not Tampa. It's technically true but we are very close I always think of it as Tampa. . I thought folks outside of Florida may not be aware of the area. That is why I mentioned Tampa. I should have just said Zephyrhills in the title :)

Zemismart compatible Roller Shades

Hey all,

I'm looking for roller shades that I can later convert into smart shades using Zemismart.

What are the best cheap options?

I've been searching but damn these things are expensive.

Any budget roller shades that are reliable enough?

Also, what are the considerations to make sure they are Zemismart compatible?

Hey all,

We just moved to our new home.

I installed my first Unifi setup yesterday.

But, unfortunately, the office/flex room is not getting enough coverage. I'm looking for a new wifi access point for this room.

I have this cat6 port shown in the picture. What device do you recommend?

If you scroll, I also added the floorplans. X is the mark where I currently have the U7 pro xg.

Current specs:

  1. 4200 sq ft house

  2. UCG Fiber

  3. Flex 2.5 switch

  4. 2x U7 Pro XG mounted to the ceiling on 1st floor and 2nd floor

I'm leaning towards the U7 Pro Wall, but not sure if this is the best option. Thank you for the suggestions.
