[SEIZURE WARNING] Xbox One S Output suddenly broken
To start, I basically use my Xbox One like it's a 4K Movie Player, I do occasionally play games on it but I'm not much of a gamer. I was going to watch a movie I had just received in the mail and turned on my xbox, at first the hdmi would display nothing, however after turning the xbox off and on, it started displaying this. It might've been the fact the movie I got was a steelbook instead of the typical standard cases and I typically use the movie cases to block the xbox button due to it's light being quite distracting so it could be sourced to that but I'm unsure, I've had this xbox for about 3 years now and never faces any issues with the output until now and I wasn't like trying to mess with the console or anything. I've already ruled out the hdmi cord as I tested it with several other hdmi cords I owned and they all responded the same way so I assume this is a console issue. Does anybody more technically knowledgeable know what is causing this just now?
With the flood of boxsets we've been getting as of late what are some potential sets that you'd want
With the Wes Anderson set, The Kubrick set & now the confirmation of a David Lynch set, I was thinking about what similar boxsets Criterion could put out in the future.
For some I've thought of Coen Brothers Complete Filmography - A Coen Brothers set would be great to see, to start, The Coen Brothers have a semi-troubled history of physical, their newest films are currently stuck on streaming (Netflix & Apple TV+), The Ladykillers is currently only on DVD & Movies such as Barton Fink are only currently available through Out of Print blu-rays which are becoming exceedingly rare. I think a Coen Brothers set would be a great opportunity to get 4K upgrades of their filmography & to bring some of their streaming exclusives onto discs.
John Waters (Almost) Complete Filmography - Should kinda be obvious but considering the massive amount of John Waters movies currently in the collection & the fact that 2 of the films he has directed (A Dirty Shame & Pecker) are still stuck on DVD, I think this would be an absolute slam dunk for Criterion. (Also would be cool to see the music clearance issues with Mondo Trasho be worked on but it's probably unlikely)
Pixar: The First 15 Years - With Wall-E being in the Criterion Collection, I think it would be cool to have a boxset compiling Pixar's filmography from the original Toy Story to Toy Story 3. Plus I can see Criterion doing some good restoration works on the films (I.e. reverting the Walt Disney Logo back to the initial version used in each film & having the original uncensored Toy Story 2 cut in 4K). I decided to cut it off at TS3 so the set can be a reasonable 11 films, and because Toy Story 3 is a film which feels like a proper send off for both the Toy Story series & the set as a whole (and also due to Pixar having a streak of mediocre movies afterwards.) Finally with this one I feel there is a lot of room for rare/unreleased pixar content finally being shown such as the Toy Story Black Friday cut or the Uncensored cut of Knick Knack not to mention the potential bonus features that could be created just for the set.
