  • Safer streets
  • Quieter neighbourhoods
  • More mobility options
  • Better road maintenance
  • More parks and gathering places for your family
  • More independence for your children
  • Lower taxes
  • Less crime
  • Restoring our "village charm"

This is my nomination for the worst bus stop in York Region

Yonge St / Townwood Dr in Richmond Hill

Stop ID: 2494

Enjoy the sounds and thrill of standing on the shoulder of a road with 2 lanes of 60-80 km/h traffic right beside you, a lamp post for shade, the benefits of standing instead of sitting (a silent killer), while training your patience since the express buses will skip past you here.

Come join our new YRT/Viva advocacy group Strong Towns York Region to start to fix nonsense like this:

Yet another example of why we need a functional transportation system that doesn't make bad drivers feel like they have no other choice.

Staff at this building confirmed someone drove into the building and they tend to have older clientele.

At least it wasn't a daycare this time, and thankfully, no one died.
