I seem to recall from the story that Ms. Ririko had done these kinds of lessons with other students before Tsukune was ever one of hers and they eventually got better after the study session period was over and passed her course.

Even when she did it to Tsukune, he still subconsciously did things that were "normal" like approaching Moka whilst lacking in emotion (for a LIMITED TIME) and the point of these lessons were to instill him with the mathematics work he needed to pass HER course to go on summer vacation.

In retrospect, once he passed the class, he'd go back to normal with a decent amount of time to spend with Moka or Kurumu or anybody left, given the length of a Japanese schools summer vacation. It's not like he was going to spend it with Ms. Ririko with her continuing to clamp her tail on his head and input arithmetic into him.

If the logic is that she was trying to isolate Tsukune from Moka and his friends completely, she would have been trying to make him FAIL her final (because this was the FINALS of the school year) and make him repeat her class. Even if she went about it in a bizarre way, the end result was always going to be that Tsukune would pass her class and then spend summer with Moka and the others. I feel like there's a bit of a logic leap here.

There's just some things you don't do to Michael Caine.

Totally would love it if Saito used a musket at one point, like a special custom one.

Basic definition: "Suspension of Disbelief" is the "unspoken rule" of filmmaking where the audience agrees to ignore minor flaws in logic in exchange for following along with the story. However, when the film breaks its own logic, the rule gets broken and you question things.

The Martha scene in Batman v. Superman where a bloodthirsty Batman stops his harsh beatdown on Superman just because their mothers have the same first name.

The Helicopter scene in Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw where an escaping helicopter is failing to escape by the sheer strength of The Rock holding a truck hook and a chain connected to it.

The Henchwomen scene in The Master of Disguise where the main character is seduced by a group of women and he rejects them all despite the whole movie setting up the protagonist Pistachio as having no preferences besides a big rear and doesn't even view his own love interest as attractive. (Felt like throwing an odd one in the mix lol)

What are some of your "breaking points" from the "Suspension of Disbelief" rule?

Okay, so pretty much everyone remembers when Kirche brought Saito to her room for some "fun" and they got interrupted repeatedly by random nobles at the window that Kirche disposed of that she also had "fun" with (and managing to mouth kiss with Saito for a brief moment) before Louise came in.

We all know Louise stops them (Saito and Kirche) from going any further despite protests from both and her reasoning is that Saito would be probably be killed by the jealous noblemen that Kirche disposed of a moment ago the following day, prompting Saito to end the encounter... I gave it some thought and doesn't that technically mean that's a problem for Louise too?

Think about it, Louise is Saito's master. Saito is Louise's familiar, no matter what viewpoints she or anyone has on it. Any trouble that happens to Saito befalls on her as his master. Anything involving him is HER responsibility. So, by general understanding, if Saito got killed by the nobles, that would make her look even worse than what she ALREADY was viewed by everyone at the school and possibly even further in the noble houses. She let her own familiar die at the hands of some jealous dudes over said familiar successfully managing to get a foreign babe attracted to him.

Even if she has a problem with Kirche in the form of a long standing rivalry, by this point in the story and how she treated Saito then, she has no legs to stand on for a legitimate threat because she would have to protect him or risk her own reputation sinking even harder and probably would have to be somewhat "cooperative" with Kirche to prevent Saito getting killed because of her being at the center of it all. Not to mention her liking Saito at the time playing a factor.

Also, Saito defeating Guiche a little prior to this is public knowledge around the school. People know Saito, a "peasant," defeated a magic wielding top student who can use Earth Magic. I'm pretty sure those guys wouldn't stand a chance (provided they were unaware of Saito needing a sword but they didn't strike me as too intelligent considering they were fighting over the same girl who had no legit interest in pursuing the relationship with ANY OF THEM long-term.)

Culmination: Louise's threat didn't really make much sense and considering she whipped Saito after they got back to her room, plus kneeing him between the legs, he honestly could have just stayed in Kirche's room. It really was the better of the two options and frankly, even if Saito is viewed as a "peasant familiar," he's still HER familiar. If he were to die under some objectively dimwitted circumstances like that, the criticism would fall more sharply on her.

In context, the other mermaids have started munching on the other boys but Tamao hugs Tsukune from behind and tells him he is "safe" with her.

The moment she says that she's been interested in him since he arrived at Yokai Academy, you can clearly spot a "smirk" on his mouth that implies "...Okay, guess we doing this. It might not be so bad" before the reveal of her maw lol

There's something to be said about making "This is Spinal Tap" but about a low rent NWA knock off from California. The plot doesn't go anywhere relevant, a lot of the jokes completely fail to stick the landing and everything budgeting-wise in this thing makes it feel ridiculously cheap, even by "mockumentary" filmmaking standards. Like they couldn't even AFFORD the humor.

But I gotta admit, this movie is genuinely fun to watch. All three of the leads are so ridiculously stupid that they become endearing and the standalone bits where Durag just acts like an A-hole to the interviewer guy Bentley actually managed to generate a smirk on my face.

The movies soundtrack though is where it's actually shining because the songs are so fucking weird but with solid beatwork. Seriously, look up the soundtrack, it's a hilarious bop of bad lyrics over solid beats.

Also, probably the only time I've seen Leslie Jones in something that she was actually funny as "Mama Rag" getting into shootouts for the fun of it lol

There's a random moment in the video on Crash Bash by YouTuber Caddicarus where he puts the game box on screen and it just says "Gash." I can't help but chuckle lol

I mean, in Kiyo's shoes, he was just told about the battle royale by these two and then got attacked by them and then just leaves them in his room. I'd feel like there's an itch on the back of my neck if I did that. ITS MY ROOM LOL
