Is $28k out the door worth pulling trigger for 2020 RTL-E with 56k miles

One owner, local in Charlotte. No accidents, and service record / maintenance has been done to align with recommended intervals

Finally moving on from my 07. She’s been a great truck, but at 282k, she’s started to show signs of nickel and diming me to death.

Edit: Carfax is clean and service records mentioned above are listed. Honda certified with extended warranty

Need recommendations for any dual diagnosis residential treatment centers

Hopefully this post is allowed. I have a family member that needs substance abuse and mental health treatment, preferably one of the 30 day residential treatment programs. They have Aetna insurance.

Someone recommended The Willows Red Oak Recovery near Asheville. Most reviews are good, especially all the recent ones, but curious if there are any others in NC that are good.

They are finally willing to get help, so I want to jump on this before they change their mind.

Thank you.

Clip Phone mount recommendations for 1st Gen Dash

Currently have a phone holder on top of the dash, but the phone gets so hot up there. Not a fan of the windshield suction cup style and any of the A/C vent style I have purchased always weigh down the vent and the holder droops. The 1st Gen has such a thick front dash, that I can’t find any that the clip is large enough to clip over/under any of the sections just to the right of the steering wheel on the dash

Any 1st Gen owners with recommendations? It can be a vent clip style if you have good experience with it. I have an iPhone 16, for reference

Question Female therapists with a male client. How close to the pelvic area will you go comfortably to provide legit treatment?

Quick backstory: I had arthroscopic surgery on both hips - left hip 2012, right 2013. Really bad impingement. Doc said I’d get about 10-12 years of full activity before things went south again. He was right. Hips are toast and need replacements or arthroscopic surgery again but the success rate time won’t be as long. Too young for replacements now, but my PT for my recent shoulder surgery (who also was my PT for hips) showed me some spots that are super tight where my adductor and hamstring muscles connect at the groin area. Recommended deep tissue a couple times per month

I have an LMT that I’ve seen for an about two years now that provides deep tissue and Swedish for me. She’s great and our provider/client relationship is awesome. She knows my body is broken all over from years of chaos, so I am wondering from female therapists in here, how close are you willing to provide bodywork for male clients? Haven’t asked her yet, and I don’t want her to feel pressured or uncomfortable. I’d wrap up my groin area with extra sheets or whatnot, like a mawashi.

Pictures attached to show where I’m describing. It’s essentially the attachment point of the muscles to the groin, so it’s literally “right there.”

Edit/Update: thank you everyone for the suggestions and reassurance. I sent her an email today with these screenshots and asked her if she was cool with working in these areas, and she replied back “the question is… are you cool with the pain that will come from the first session or two?” She was totally fine and thanked me for respecting the space and the professional relationship.

Thanks again!!!

One year clean as of two weeks ago. Big thanks to this group!

*typing fast so apologies for typos*

Two weeks ago, I hit the one year mark. This week on Monday, I hit the one year mark alcohol free. I realized drinking was going to ruin any chance I had of quitting kratom for good so I dropped booze and shortly after also dropped any form of THC (will be a year sometime in July. Didn’t track this)

This group was a lifesaver for the first month or so, helping me know what to expect as the withdrawals started. It took about six months to start feeling normal but the mind seems to be back in full swing after five years of kratom.

The biggest hurdle was finding ways to get my dopamine hits back to healthy habits. Lots of therapy and rewiring. I found myself still chasing quick dopamine hits - screen time, junk food, even getting massages a few times a week. Massages, while beneficial, are such an easy/lazy way to get an endorphin rush. Changing the habit loop and pursuing habits and goals that fed me dopamine incrementally but the end result not being too easy to attain.

Anyway, thank you. Life is getting good again. Self hate is diminishing rapidly, joy and gratitude are popping up everywhere unexpectedly again. And video games are finally fun again! That was the strangest part of quitting kratom - i associated gaming with kratom for so long, it sucked the joy out of playing.

Stay rad. Stay the course. Stay afloat. Ride all the waves that come your way.

Need help with cat foster for a “turn key” kitten

*Mods, delete if needed. Trying to help a vulnerable cat and running out of ideas*

Need help with finding a good foster, rescue, or “cat cafe” that can take in a cat that is “turn key” ready to list for adoption.

This young cat has been coming up since he was a kitten, was very skittish for a long time, but finally started to trust us enough to feed him and clean some wounds from him being attacked. He was in rough shape. He still seems to be getting in fights due to being undersized.

I know fosters are full right now, but I went ahead and did all the work to get him ready for adoption - I figured this may help a foster make room for him since most of the upfront costs are taken care of:
I just got him neutered, fully vaccinated, FVRCP / FeLV tested, rabies, flea and tick, and got him microchipped.

He would make an amazing pet - he’s very shy, very sweet, loves to be pet and had the cutest little meow.

He’s been inside for a couple of days recovering from his surgery, but will have to go back outside. Our dog is not cat friendly and it just won’t happen.

So, an outgoing Product Manager at my company sold me and hyped me up to his manager and got me his role. Nice promotion and pay bump. It’s a role that would likely be a bit out of my league without his doing, and I want to get him a bottle of whiskey or bourbon, somewhere in the $100 range. When I say he knows his whiskey, he’s thinking of started a distillery in Colorado with his severance.

I quit drinking liquor a while back, and the highest quality whiskey/bourbon that I drank was Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, Woodford Double. Not really sure where those land in the “really good whiskey and bourbon” categories.

Any good recommendations in the $75 - $100 range that I can buy him? Will be ordering with a nice gift box and having it delivered.

Thanks!
