Former employer fired me before project was finished

long story short

I was hired to build software for an employer. It was almost finished when he fired me, calling the work useless and unfinished. After being let go, I continued developing it on my own heavily modifying, rebuilding, and improving it over many revisions and I'm now planning to launch it as my own SaaS product.

I don't have a copy of my employment contract on hand right now, but if i remember it said that the any software made within the employement contarct will be of the company.

Since then I've researched and found out that by registering copyright on the current version through IPO-Pakistan, but I'm aware that doesn't automatically settle who owns the underlying work if the original codebase was created during my employment.

What I'm trying to understand, does registering copyright on my current version protect me if the origin of the code is disputed, or can a court look past that registration?

Look I have changed the whole goddamn codebase and it doesn't even look like their codebase, like look what eveidence they would be having CCTV cameras, Whatsapp Messages and that contract

Would appreciate input from anyone with IP law experience, especially in Pakistan, or devs who've been through something similar.

I had applied last year I medical university like Uchs, UHS and also given Mdcat, but due to high competition I could not make into these universities. I had gotta into pharm D but wasn't my field of interest and left the chance. This year I decided to get into a course in E commerce in Punjab University. I completed my course in three months and learnt many things there and this changed my mind to change the degree. Then I left medical studies and started looking for Business, Fiance, Economic degrees, right know I am doing an internship in brand strategic and I planned to build a skill out of all this which help me out but I also want a degree which will help me to polish these skills. I am planning to get into lums for BBA or BS Finance (does it include CA) but still I am confused on the course I am choosing and the university I am choosing. So should I coutine to see the business, fiance degree in lums if yes then which degree is better to choose for my case.I want to also known can I get scholarship in lums. I want also know about the fees structure and all the admission criteria? I would be grateful for the guidance.
