I've hit it pretty hard with abrasive dish-cleaning stuff.

For a while now I've wanted to model my favorite local railroad branch (Canadian National, former Illinois Central) and all my favorite spots along its route. My original idea was HO of course, but I was recently looking at Whittle's offerings for the CN and they're so nice that it's inspired me to go in the direction of wooden trains. I still have all my Brio track from when I was a boy, so it seems obvious.
There are a lot of locos and freight cars that I'd want for it that I'd have to make myself, though. Former Citirail, former IC in their Deathstar color scheme, uncommon leased stuff, Potashcorp and Corn Products hoppers, etc. It's all very exciting to think about, making your own stuff is an integral part of the fun of modeling even with toys, but where to get the blanks and the decals? Does Whittle make their own decals inhouse? Do any of you?
Nightmare company.
She coached me about not greeting three guests who walked past me and I was like "look, you're paying attention to me, but I'm paying attention to the guests, and here is what I noticed about these three guests that made verbaly calling their attention to me seem like an obnoxious thing to do: two were in conversation, one was wearing earbuds, and none of them made eye contact with me." She accepted all that, but said I just need to say hi to them anyway, to protect myself. Those were her words. We've all been threatened about this multiple times. I would say I have been, either in a group or one-on-one, five times over the past two weeks. Should I just quit? What is everyone else even doing?
It doesn't say in the instructions, it doesn't say on the official website, it doesn't say on any retailer's sites or in any of the reviews. None of them even mention it. It seems too severe for the crop on an APSC sensor, but maybe I'm wrong. They certainly don't represent a 35mm FOV.
I'm not sure I really need her here and she just keeps coughing. I don't want to sound like a dick but I also don't want her around.
I don't need the light meter on this Yashica Mat 124G to work, but I'd like it to work, you know? And Brooklyn Film Camera, wonderful people that they are, shipped it to me with the original battery (probably) still in it, corrosion and all. I cleaned the compartment out and looked up replacements, where I found this. I don't know if it *doesn't* work, but it sure *isn't* working, and I'm trying to figure out why.
