  2. Number of companies that participated in campus placements.

  3. List of recruiting companies along with the number of students hired by each company.

  4. Kindly specify whether the official placement statistics include PPO offers, international offers, off campus offers, and internship offers without PPO conversion. If yes, kindly provide the number included under each category.

I am not particularly interested in either, but I'm, willing to learn anything. I do value placements but I also value long term job security and stability and if I am going into EE, I'd rather target core placements instead of software. So how are the core placements there?

Was anyone asked to pay 17k?

I was asked to 17k in CSAB, but I thought I had to pay 45k since I withdrew from JoSAA and I did not pay the PAF but I did pay the SAF in round 1. Does this mean I won't get the refund of SAF?

Anyone who applied for both BS MS and BTech, which application number works as your password?

For me the BS MS application number works, but for BTech under application number there is nothing, while for some people there is some number like 45xxx

IIIT vadodara vs IIIT Surat, since both have similar closing ranks, which one to prefer?

I am not considering anything else outside of Gujarat and no branch lower than ECE.
From what I know:
IIIT Surat has better median packages than IIIT vadodara
IIIT Surat's permanent campus development seems more promising than IIIT V
But I still see people say to prefer IIIT V over IIIT S just because of it being older
Also Vadodara's batch size has become massive this year(690) compared to IIIT Surat(320)

Seniors from both, please give your opinion. Also, I am only considering these two and I don't really wanna hear about anything else

I am considering chossing CS as my major, I only got mildly intrested in it very recently(last few months), but I have no prior knowledge of it. That said, I am willing to learn, but is that enough? I've heard people saying that only go into CS if you are really intreasted in it, otherwise you might get replaced by AI. I understand CS is a highly competative field, especially in my country, India, but I still want to do it because it seems intreasting. The degree that I am considering is CS with specilization in AI&DS, although the AI/DS part is only around 20% of the syllabus
