Would you relocate to Madina?

My intention is to settle down in Madina right after marriage - so for the sisters, specially those that do not want to relocate away from home - is relocation to Madina an exception for you?

Just checking because I been seeing a lot of ISOs mentioning they won't move out of thier city

Men, what are some things that would make you end marriage talks with a potential?

Try going into both the obvious as well as the not-so-obvious subtle details that have put you off.

I'll lead and answer this first so you may follow a similar format:

  1. Curses too often
  2. Having male friends that she meets often
  3. Confession of past sins way early on
  4. Not hygienic (includes body/skin/hair care)
  5. Admittedly being very very lazy
  6. Vague communication / not knowing how to communicate in a healthy manner
  7. Doesn't want to make any effort or grow in life
  8. No ambitions / goals in life - not talking about being career oriented but also just ambitious about bettering themselves
  9. Too Dominant - Might be controversial and it is subject to interpretation but that just doesn't match my vibe

Your turn, kings

Sisters, what are traits that makes a man look Feminine / DL / Not Masculine enough

Sisters, list down things, traits, or qualities that you have noticed in men which you find to be very Feminine, not masciline enough, or DL (Down low)

Format your answer in such a way for easy readability - Common examples that I've seen here:

  1. A Man seated on a chair with his legs crossing over each other = Down Low, Feminine
  2. A Man throwing emotional tantrums = Feminine
  3. A man that cannot handle situations of pressure = Not Masculine
  4. A man that wants/expects his wife to contribute to bills = Not Masculine

This post is to simlpy encourage discussion and create awareness around things men do that put women off

Day 13 of Locking in for my future Wife - Lustful Desires

Day 13 was PRETTY GOOD. I was LOCKED IN locked in 🔒. Had to go out during the day to fulfil client orders, very low phone screen time (2-3hours). Prayed 4 Salahs at the masjid and 1 at home - for which I did the usual and punished my nafs with 4 rakahs.

A lot of women think this 'Nafs Punishment' will damage my relationship with my salah because salah isn't a punishment, it's a beautiul way to connect with Allah. However; I just want to elaborate on this a little bit - That punishment isn't for me, it's for my nafs that hates doing acts of ibadah - I disassociated myself from my nafs, we're 2 different beings both wanting different things. I love my salah, I love spending time in ibadah but my nafs hates it, it loves feeding into my desires dragging me to Jahannam while I drag it to Jannah. This Disassociation truly helps you get better because now it creates layers to your personality which you can individually target and improve. And punishing my nafs has helped me get so much better - it's like now my nafs understands, it stops disobeying and falls to my will. Because of this, I have naturally started praying my sunnahs which I would normally skip out on and that's a huge improvement.

Talking about Desires and Nafs, I see a lot of brothers and sisters posting here seeking advice for their lustful desires overtaking them - I'd advise them to exercise the same method I stated above - Disassociate yourself from the nafs that wants to sin/indulge in desires, and punish it every time you sin/when it goes against your will. Do this simple trick for a few weeks and watch yourself distance away from your lustful desires. While at it, just imagine how utterly disgusted anyone from your family would be if they saw you in such an act 🥀 and to hurt your ego; think about how you're a grown ahhh man (or woman) doing this - like get a wife, make money, build a family bro - this ain't the time to be playing around no more - get your shii together. LOCK IN.

Update on my sleep: I finally fixed it. I went to bed at 12 AM instead of 9AM so that's a huge improvement though Ideally I'd like to bring this down to 10 PM but going to bed on time is actually harder than waking up on time ngl. Besides this, I read Mulk, and recited the Quran with tafsir - I try to read only 10 ayahs/day in tafsir because it takes me like 30 minutes, since I be researching and digging deeper and deeper into the ayahs, their context etc etc and wow, ngl, I wish I started reading the Tafsir sooner - How can I at my gorwn ahh age not have ever read the tafsir until now? Shameful but better now than never.

Anyways, tomorrow is my day off so I'mm reward myself with an easy going day and move the GREAT LOCK IN to Day 16. - for context, this supposed to be the day when I have 0 excuses; all 5 salahs at masjid, hard sweaty workout.

PS: Baity Title so yall read - I think it should be a helpful read

The daily documentation is to inspire others while keeping myself publicly accountable and being able to journal/track my daily progress. I am doing this for myself and my akhirah's sake but marriage is a very good motivating factor to push myself into excellence.

>I’m an objectively fine standing individual, in the prime of my 20's and I don’t have any roadblocks preventing me from getting married الحمد لله BUT I know what I am capable of and I feel it’s a disservice to my wife to not give her the best version of me - I am very ambitious but that ambition needs to show through consistent action even on the days I don’t feel like it - hence my primary focus is on myself for the remainder of this year.

Day 11 & 12 of Locking in for Future Wife - It ain't easy

Day 8 was a humiliating setback, still recovering from it. Day 11 was really good, 5 hours totally LOCKED IN on work, screen time down to 2 hours total, prayed 4 salahs at masjid (zuhr at home). Good day. Slept at midnight, then it went downhill.

Day 12: woke up at 1:30am, couldn't sleep again till 5am, got up and went for fajr. Regret those 3.5 hours wasted lying in bed when I could've worked on my future instead. Got home at 6am, and 6am to 12pm was a domino effect of wasted time, restless, couldn't sleep, did nothing. Finally fell asleep at 12, woke up at 4. Missed zuhr but excused since I was asleep, prayed qaza, then asr, then LOCKED IN. Wallahi I didn't want to do anything, brain was mush after that sleep, couldn't think straight, but forced myself to start working. And I did. LOCKED IN. There was some work which I was dreading to do but I've almost finished it now. I also didn't want to leave my apartment and go to the masjid but I forced myself to, and so I did.

I have to build up my discipline for Day 14, THE GREAT LOCKIN where I leave no excuses to slack on anything - I think I am inching closer to the GREAT LOCK IN mindset because when I'm locked in, my heart grows soft, and I turn emotional in my salahs - like I might be in sujood and tears will flow like water, simply thanking Allah for granting me strength to fight my nafs, and asking Allah to continue strenghtening me because wallahi I am too weak without him - I truly felt that today.

Today, on Day 12, I broke a pattern - which is giving into my emotional state. After having the worst brain fog due to my astronomically bad sleep, I really didn't want to do anything but lay in bed all day. BUT I broke a pattern, before allowing myself to give into it. I decided to persevere, and push through my nafs, and get to work, regardless of how I am feeling. Feelings should not dictate my routine, my discipline does. And I was happy to see that change in myself today. Anyways, Tomorrow is Day 13 - I am stil struggling to resolve my disastrous sleep; may Allah help me.

Day 14 will be great Insha Allah. Full sweaty workout, no distractions, 7 hours deepwork, all 5 prayers at the masjid. This is the kind of discipline that I've placed upon myself as a prerequisite for being ready for marriage. My Nafs will be tested on Day 14 fr.

>Off tangent but I have to get this out of my system - possibly a funny story for you to read. A woman DMd me looking to know me better for marriage and she was a solid A on paper so I entertained the conversation however she had 1 requirement which I partially fulfilled so I said, "it will be fully met towards the end of the year, although I am partially there already" - and she - ghosted me?

>I'm like this has to be some sort of mistake? Let me double text? NO reply. a day passes and I'm like has she died? Let me tripple Text (I embarassed myself so hard here but it gets worse), I finally quadruple texted like WOMAN - dare you ghost thy king? (I didnt say that obviously - or did I 🤫*)*

>Anyways she says I do not fulfil this one requirement hence she's ceasing comms and I am cool with it, I really don't mind but my detail oriented brain needed clarity so I ask; help me understand how this makes sense? - This one particular requiement will be naturally be met in like 4 months anyways so how does it make any difference and she just said "I don't owe you any further explanation". Like chat, what happened to healthy communication 🫪 I hate that I wasn't being the nonchalant king I usually am. Lost all the Aura trynna gain clarity of the situation, I'm summarizing it here to save myself but chat, I lost a lot more aura than I am making it look like 🫪

Day 8 of Locking In for Future Wife - Feeling Humiliated

Today was my biggest fall. Day 8 days of the challenge and I fell down astronomically - The reason is tied to my emotional state. I wasn't feeling my best emotionally and when this happens there's always a big setback in every aspect of my life - I sleep very late, I wake up very very late, I do nothing but waste time - it honestly feels like I'm living like an animal - in fact even animals would have more disicpline than me when I'm at my lowest. In retrospect, this is a form of psychological self harm - it's me selfsabotaging and destroying myself from within.

What this shows is I am still very emotionally tied to my discipline - true discipline doesn't care how you feel, what you feel, all it cares about is getting to work no matter what. It's not external factors that are at fault for my drop in progress - it is my own fault for letting external factors influence me this much. A real man isn't responsible just when he feels like it, he is responsible even at his worst, a mountain that stays grounded to his roots no matter how many times an earthquake shakes it up - this is why I am documenting my journey - to become the man a woman deserves - not some soft boy shii - we on some King shii 🤴🏻.

The thing is, this isn't even something I intentionally do - it just happens without me realizing how badly I am getting sucked into being a potato that does nothing - it might start with a little social media scroll or watching Just 1 episode of a show - and then you're like "just 1 more", and this continues and continues, sucking you into the loop but what you don't realize is the emotional void you're feeling will never be replaced by the dopamine you're chasing - all it will lead to is time being wasted and you sulking in further guilt.

The changes I will add is: giving up on all forms of entertainment - no shows, no movies, no pointless youtube. If I want to distract my mind, I will do so by consuming knowledge. My mind deserves a better intake - I will recommend all my business bros to watch Alex Hormozi - I think imma do a whole marathon consuming all his videos and taking notes. and a note for everyone, all change starts with self accountability - no excuses, fix yourself up.

I am not proud of how I wasted myself today - it's humiliating documenting the ugly side of this journey but a man sticks to his word and I will document everything with complete transparency, every day. I'm not a fan of this humiliation ritual - Insha Allah, this helps me NEVER fall this hard again since it's all public - I'd appreciate if nobody said "don't worry, it's okay" because this will just train my mind into thinking this level of performance is acceptable when it absolutly is not and should never be.

We lost the 8th Day battle, but we will win the war 🔪

Goals VS Progress
1. Praying all 5 Salah’s at the masjid
Only Fajr & Zuhr at the Masjid. Rest of the Salahs were prayed at the very last minute (literally), in the comfort of my home. I have punish my nafs with 12 rakahs, tomorrow.

2. Social Media screen time down to 2hrs/day
Minimal social media usage - about 2 hours BUT my TV watch time was 14 hours astagfirullah

5. Quran & Dhikr
Read Quran with tafsir - No Mulk or Waqiah before sleep

3. Take my personal earnings to $10K/m:
0 work done.

4. Get to my fittest/strongest shape through daily exercise:
10 pushups, 10 squats, 10 situps - practically 0 exercise coz like what even is this

LOCK IN 🔒

Context

>Purpose of this challenge is to become my best version for my future wife.

>Best case scenario, I achieve all my goals and find a good wife before the year ends. Worst case scenario, I achieve all my goals this year and get married next year. Whatever Allah has willed for me, Insha Allah

Sisters, How would you like to be approached for Marriage?

Answer for these 3:

  1. How to approach when you're spotted by a stranger in public
  2. How to approach when you're noticed by a stranger on social media
  3. What are the DOs and DO NOTs when making an approach

The stage is yours to teach men how you like to be approached in a way that is respectful and pleases you.

Locking In for my Future Wife - Day 7

Goals VS Progress
1. Praying all 5 Salah’s at the masjid
MAJOR Improvement here. I went from barley going to the masjid to now going all 5 times a day. Out of the 7 days of August since I began this challenge, I prayed all 5 salahs at the masjid in congregation, for 2 days. This is honestly a huge step up. Today was a tough battle against my nafs, during Far. I was so sleepy, and the sleep was too good, my eyes were heavy after my alarm went off - but then I said NAY, this behaviour is not worthy of my Kingship 🤴🏻 - 8 minutes before the salah started, I forced myself up, did wudu, prayed my sunnah and rushed to the masjid.

Hence, I conquered my nafs and shaytan - made sure they knew their place was beneath me 🤫 now I hold their leash and control them, rather than be controlled (I hope this sounds just as funny as I say it out loud 🤣 - I goof a lot fr)

If you have been following this daily journalling series, you would know I achieved this by punishing my nafs/shaytan with 4 rakahs of nafl salah every single time I missed a salah at the masjid - this truly helped a lot. It weakens your nafs and slowly but surely you start gaining power over it - it's not an immediate change but it's a change that you see gradually happening; you stop feeling lazy to do acts of worship, you stop feeling tempted by the same habitual sins, and you start striving for Allah's pleasure

2. Social Media screen time down to 2hrs/day
Spiked a little because had a lil emotional spike but still not as crazy Alhamdulillah - 3.5 hours of distracted social media use today. I was still distracted in other ways but at least the social media doom scrolling went down crazy Alhamdulillah.

5. Quran & Dhikr
Done all my morning and evening dhikr today, ready surah kahf and will end the day with Surah Mulk + Waqiah before bed.

3. Take my personal earnings to $10K/m:
Not much to update here so I'll hold this off until I hear back from some clients

4. Get to my fittest/strongest shape through daily exercise:
Not much to update here so I'll hold this off for tomorrow when I timeblock a proper gym schedule

Notes:
Is there any topics you would like me to cover in these daily journaling updates? I'll start talking about other beneficial/self improvement subjects in these to spice up your read 🌶️
