Artisan bakery that would give sample of sourdough starter?

I have been making sourdough at home for a couple months now, but I was away for a couple weeks and my starter went bad. Anyone know of any bakeries that would give free sample of sourdough starter so I can replace mine and make some at home on the weekends?

Nicest and Least Crowded Equinox in NYC

I’ve been to E61 which is huge, but looks like I travelled back in time to 1990. E63 is really nice but super crowded. Anywhere else nice without planet fitness type crowds? Lol

UES location recommendations

What clubs in the UES do people like. In terms of layout, amenities, ambiance, if there is a pool and which is less prone to overcrowding? Any things else anyone can think of.

Bars, lounge, restaurant recommendations to make friends and meet women

33M Moving to the UES in a week looking for places that welcome conversation and make friends, meet neighbors and single (or not) females. I've been to a few places in other cities where everyone pretty much stay by themselves. Basically Looking for recs for places where people are social and open/willing for conversation. Want to get to know and form a community I guess.

HY and/or Ex East 61st st worth it? (Living UES 2nd and 77th)

I'm going to join Equinox in NYC, just wondering what plan to go with. Definitely want access to more than one club, but saw these are higher tiers. I'd do it if worth it.

Recommendations for a Story-Telling Narrative True Crime/Historical Documentary Podcasts

I really enjoy learning things and historical, true crime and murder docs. I was looking for a podcast to listen to that keeps you hooked and engaged. Basically a sotry telling podcast in a narrative style, preferably true-crime, murder or historical documentary. I want to listen to while running or driving, but most interview-style or investigative journalism with many cuts to interviews or playing back of tapes get me distracted. I would like recommendations that are like telling a story or minimal back and forth. Dr. Death season 1 was one of my favs as well as others by Wondery.

Im moving to NYC in 2 months to work at 77th and Lexington. Where should I live? Some people said anywhere along the "6" train, but what are some pros and cons of the neighborhoods in Manhattan. Do I work within walking distance to work in the Lenox Hill area vs other places in UES vs living in Murray Hill near Grand Central vs HK or Midtown?

I am moving in July and everyone told me I'm crazy for looking more than 30 days in advance, but I'm getting anxious.

TL;DR Where to live in Manhattan and what are the neighborhood like? Lol (I'm assuming transportation is relatively easy?)

Edit: Age 33M, single, Upper end of Budget $5500-$6000
