Are you for or against divisions/conferences in the NRL?

Recently PVL was talking about possibly bringing in conferences to the nrl, I’m not sure where I sit with it, but with this rapid expansion it might be the play to ensure rivals play each other 2x with a further congested schedule. I would still lean towards no, however.

What are your thoughts?

Is Anyone running a Buy-In League with “TeamStake”?

I’m from Australia and I can’t use LeagueSafe as they don’t offer PayPal or local payment methods. I’ve tried doing paid leagues based on trust with transferring money, but I ended up just getting scammed last year by this American bloke after I won.

TeamStake offers PayPal so I was wondering if anyone is running a league that uses it? Preferably $20-$50 USD Buy-In, but I’m flexible. There’s 2 of us looking for a league.

Expansion Locations

If South Island gets the 20th NRL licence, where would your next 4 expansion locations be? Assuming we get to 24 teams?

Some options are: Ipswich-Toowoomba(western corridor), Central QLD, Central Coast NSW, Wellington NZ, Adelaide, Melbourne 2, Fiji, Sunshine Coast, Waikato etc

How to Fix the Origin Period and Play More International Matches

Thought about this a while and I’ve come up with a full season plan with dedicated rep periods.

This is under the assumption that once the NRL gets to 20 teams, the nrl plays 19 rounds, everyone playing everyone once.

All dates are based on 2026’s season for the sake of simplicity.

After both breaks the season still goes for the same amount of time and grand final will be on the same week.

ANZAC Break Reps - (4 weeks)
1st week will be used for camp/travel and international women’s matches & Indigenous all stars will be played to fill the gap of club games. The ensuing 3 weeks will be a 3 game series between Aus vs NZ, Tonga vs Samoa, and PNG vs Fiji. The first Australia vs NZ game will be played on Anzac Day, the rest will be played other days throughout the week. This is chosen in this period so that Tonga, Samoa, Nz, Aus are unaffected by origin selection.
( I am open to these being one-off games and the whole period being 2 weeks, if more club games are required)

Origin Period Reps (4 weeks)
Again, 1st week will be used for camp/travel and women’s origin matches, U19s origin, and the revival of City v Country will be played this week.

The ensuing 3 weeks will include State of Origin, (and the remaining 2 women’s origin matches), as well as the pacific tour, which involved 3 teams from the northern hemisphere (England, France, Lebanon) touring pacific nations (PNG, Fiji, Cook Islands)

PNG, Fiji & Cook Islands are chosen due to their low origin representation and will be largely unaffected. These are good quality international matches played in the middle of the year. The northern teams will rotate and play the 3 pacific nations (3 matches).

Obviously SuperLeague must be on board for this to happen.

Which NRL club has the most support on the Central Coast?

Few games get taken up to the glorious stadium in Gosford, what team do the people of the central coast support the most? Just wondering :)

What areas of Melbourne have the most Storm supporters?

Was wondering about this given that Sydney Swans fans are predominantly from upper class areas of eastern suburbs and north shore, I was wondering if there are particular areas/demographic that breed more storm/league fans in Melbourne?

I understand that Casey and southeastern Melbourne have a larger Polynesian population, but not sure if that’s one of the larger league areas?

Appreciate some insights. Thanks :)

Do we think Aude could sustain a SuperLeague/Championship team?

Largely rural department, but with a population of about 380k, they are home to 3 of the most successful SuperXIII Clubs: Carcassonne, Lézignan, Limouxin. There were some talks back in 2022 to merge the 3 to compete it higher leagues and the British system, Carcassonne also applied for league 1 in 2023.

Do you believe an Aude Cathars team could sustain themselves in SuperLeague/Championship?

Personally I would love to see it.

Same question goes for some other French departments / cities in the future (Tarn, Avignon)?

Curious as a Westerner

Hi there, I am from Australia and am interested in the Eastern Orthodox Church.

I understand many of you have seen/heard very similar questions hundreds of times and are probably sick of it, but I thought I would ask anyway.

Obviously I am western and speak English, I have no cultural connection with the common orthodox churches around me (Greek, Serbian etc). I understand that I may enter any even if I am not Serbian, Greek etc. However, my main question is, how do I know which one to pick? Do the geographical differences also include slight theological/liturgical differences between them?

Any advice welcomed, thank you :)

Castleford Sign Damien Cook

As a dragons fan, a little disappointed but given his age it’s fair. Pumped for cas!!

Linking up with his former (assistant) coach Ryan Carr.
