Late-onset diarrhea after colon resection surgery

My mother (67) had colon resection surgery in September 2025, and 3x rounds of CAPOX that finished in FEB 2026. She had Stage 3A T1N1a with a small 10mm tumor.

After the surgery she was generally fine, but last few weeks she felt a bit bloaty and had some diarrhea that started 2 days ago.

She suspected that it's oily foods and/or colder weather. We are in autumn in the Southern hemisphere.

Had anyone had diarrhea or frequent/loose bowel movements that started several months after the surgery?

Seasoning a 32cm De Buyer Mineral Pro

I will have a 32cm Mineral B Pro arriving this month. I'm almost 100% certain that it will not fit in my oven, therefore I will have to season it on my ceramic cooktop.

From my experience a ceramic flat-top is never the best at seasoning a carbon steel.

Would it be ok if I move the pan off-center on the cooktop to season the edges? Hopefully this won't cause the pan to warp.

I'm thinking of heating it up slowly, then gradually move it left, right, up, and down to get the outer edges seasoned.

How did you manage this on a flat-top?

Best looking Daytona?

I think that this white gold version is the best current model Daytona.

Anyone else agree?

I honestly never understood why the steel Panda is so hyped up. I think it's nice, but not "2x RRP" nice...

Putting $50k into Sharesies? Safe?

I'm about to put $50k into Sharesies Vanguard VOO S&P 500.

Yes I know that everywhere tells me that it's safe. But it's my first time doing something like this.

Would you be confident doing so yourself?

I know that the SP500 itself will have ups and downs. I'm wondering more about the security of the platform itself.

E.g. what if Sharesies goes bust?

Anyone having trouble on Facebook Marketplace

Since last night I've been noticing that my listings are getting zero views.

This is highly unusual. I've been regularly selling on FBMP for 2 years without issues. I also have a perfect 5/5 rating.

Anyone else having the same problem?

Assume you are fishing from land in the Auckland region.

You'll have to drive to the spot, buy rod, lines, bait, etc...

And what fish can you realistically catch from land?

This is the name of an IKEA product.

Firstly is this a commonly used word?

How do you pronounce it? I thought it was "var-da-gen", but Google Translate pronounces it as "var-dan".

Thanks!

As per title. I'm totally new at this.

Should I just sell the Nvidia and Apple shares? They are already heavy-hitters in the S&P500.

Is there any benefit from having separate/individual shares with them?

I am currently using Sharesies.

We are currently doing a complete renovation costing $120k. We selected the contractor based on positive Google Reviews.

So far it's mostly on schedule, maybe ~1 week longer than promised.

But today I just read through the fine-print T/C and was a bit horrified. It's very one-sided, e.g. we can't cancel without written consent, they can cancel at any time without notice or reason..... and that they can recover any incurred cost from us.

Has anyone actually negotiated these T/C with renovators? Or do you not even bother reading it.

This concerns me because I used to work in a large corporate compant and we used to negotiate T/Cs all the time.

This pan looks like serious business. Thicker than my Matfer, and at least as thick as the De Buyer Mineral B.

How is your experience with it? How is the non-stick performance? Any warping issues?

Also can someone tell me the flat bottom diameter?

I don't think that I've ever liked a Brad or Jason in my life. They were all fussy, abrasive, aggressive, and socially awkward a-holes.

Brads also tend to be the sleazy type.

I personally believe that your name does determine your personality to an extent. Because it was picked by your parents, and all the parents that chose Jason or Brad chose these names because they have similar personality traits, if that makes sense?

Anyone know how thick these pans are? I wasn't able to find any info.

Also any experiences with them in general? Are they any good?

I'm thinking of getting one as a shiny new addition to my collection.

Has anyone actually managed to measure exactly how thick the 24/28cm IKEA Sensuell frying pan actually is?

I'm researching but getting conflicting information.

It seems that the base may actually be thicker than the sides, up to 4mm thick.

I actually had this pan in 2018, in 24cm and 32cm sizes. At the time I didn't pay attention to the thickness, but I don't think they were 4mm thick.

We got quotes for full home renovations from 2x companies. One based in East Auckland, one in North Shore.

Both quotes arrived within 1 hour of each other. Both had almost the same wording in their emails. The proposals are of a very similar format and wording.

Company A quoted $xx. Company B is ~30% higher.

I suspect that company B simply got a quote from A and marked it up.

Could this be the case?
