I haven’t played the game in months and naturally fired up a run when I saw the update. Died to two adjacent steam vents because it felt like they were firing off like twice as often as before

First game that comes to mind is Shedule I, though this one’s more of a farming sim (ish).

I like that the game loop is centered around scheduling deals and running around town to close them. Maybe you guys know of something similar?

BUT any kind of games that are centered around trading (preferably small scale) are also welcome!

I’m on my first serious playthrough, which is a pure mage nord right now. I’m doing the obvious mages guild into telvanni right now.

Does it make sense to also join the temple, or is it better reserved for a different playthrough? I have no idea how good or evil the temple is, and my character is turning out to be a pretty vile person

Got a strong craving to play MHWorld, so I downloaded the game and created a new character as one does.

However, after 15 hours of gameplay, the game has SUDDENLY started crashing on startup! I’ve tried a few things, but to no avail:

- Uninstalling mods and running unmodded
- Reinstalling windows, steam and the game
- Updating gpu drivers and directX
- Adding the game to antivirus exceptions
- Wiping the save data

I still believe there could be a reasonably easy fix because:

a) It ran for around 15h on my current system
b) the system can run plenty of games from the same era reasonably well

Specs:

- Intel core i5 3.2GHZ
- 16gb ram
- AMD Radeon R9 M380

I have tried just about everything i could think of, but I just can’t fix the issue. Please do post any advice or ideas, especially if you’ve encountered this issue before

What I’ve tried so far (but it didn’t work):

- Reinstalling windows, steam, the game
- Launching the game as administrator
- Updating windows and GPU drivers
- Deleting save data
- Switching to DirectX 11
- Trying to launch windowed and full screen

I find this particularly weird because it stopped launching completely after performing reasonably well for a time.

It doesn’t have to be Eastern Europe actually: you get similar environments IRL in the Balkans, China, North Korea and surely many other places in the world.

It’s imperative that your suggestions feature brutalist architecture, an abundance of boring rectangular apartment blocks and general post-Soviet vibes. Bonus points for wall carpets!

So a good story has to have some movement to it, right? This got me thinking that in most games, the protagonist starts off as a “worse” version of themselves and goes on to become “better” in some ways - more experienced/renown/rich/successful etc.

But what if it was the other way around? Something similar to Disco Elysium (game), or Breaking bad (tv show) where the MC is firmly stuck on a downward spiral - be it mentally, ideologically, financially or otherwise. Any game genres will do, but please no visual novels.

If you think about it, in most games the main character is this hero/villain who is (or will inevitably become) exceptional in one way or another which I’m a little bit tired of.

I’m looking for games like KCD, Kenshi where you play as “just a guy”. Preferably RPG and/or open world with some form of progression (leveling up or gear). Having a vague ending or no ending at all would also be a plus

P. S. I really want to like Kenshi for its grim setting and the sheer amount of possibilities it presents, however it’s so grindy and slow that it feels like a borderline idle game to me

I’m looking for alternate ways to collect experience orbs. I don’t like vacuum hoppers all that much, but I wasn’t able to find any alternatives on my own through google or NEI.

Any suggestions?

A guy I play with went on a hiatus and I’m a bit stuck waiting for him, so I’m holding off the trip to the moon until he comes back (neither of us have went).

I’m mostly leaning towards magic, however tech isn’t off the table either

Things I’ve already done/found:
- infinite oil, benzene, steel, iron, gold, glass, salis mundus, nether stars
- cetane boosted diesel and ptfe lines
- primordial pearls and primordial boots
- auram generators (personal favorite btw)
- big aura nodes
- portal to the last millennium (also pretty neat)

I’m low key eyeballing Automagy-inventarium as I’m not sure how long I’ll have to wait till AE2 and this sounds like a funny alternative, if nothing else

Anyway, I’m curious to hear as to what everyone has been up to, especially if you weren’t really rushing for AE2. Meta or not - anything goes
